sir i want to take admission to the cs(company secretary)so what is the qualification it want? I am a B.Sc graduate student, there is any percentage criteria to admission? there is any entrance exam for that of? when it is conducted? please help me!

As you are a B.Sc. graduate you are eligible to apply for intermediate course
or Executive examinations. You are exempted from foundation course.
As per the rule of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India if you are
directly applying for intermediate course/executive examination you will have
to complete core subject of foundation course through coaching or postal
course.

There is no entrance exam to join for the Company Secretary course. Since you have completed graduation you can join directly in the intermediate level. There is no deadline for applying for course. You can apply any time during the year. You can either visit the website for details or purchase a prospectus.

since you are a graduate ,you are eligible to join executive exam. you are not eligible to join foundation programme .

Hello friend,
To pursue CS course, the candidate must have passed +2 to join the first stage of the course, i.e. the Foundation Program. A graduate either from commerce or non-commerce background can directly for the second stage, i.e. Executive Program. The final stage of the course includes Professional program and practical trainings. The institute do not conducts any entrance exam for admission to above mentioned programs.
The executive program has six papers which deals in General and commercial Law, Company Accounts ,Cost and Management Accounting, Tax Law,Company Law,Economic and Labour Law,Security Law etc.
When you will clear the Executive Program, you will move on to Professional program.

1. Pass 10+2 examination or equivalent.

2. Pass graduation in Arts or Commerce or Science.

NOTE: - 10+2 appearing candidates or equivalent can also apply.


Important Date for Company Secretary course: -

1. Admission is open throughout the year.

2. Last date for appearing in December 2011 examination = March 31, 2011.

company secretary course consist of three section namely foundation, executive, and professional. The course is conducted by the institute of company secretaries of India.
The minimum eligibility required for the exam is 10+a qualification. The minimum age required is 17 years.
The other qualification required for the aspirant is good knowledge of english both communication and writing.
The foundation course consist of 4 papers whereas executive paper consist of 8 papers. To clear the professional exam the aspirant need to under go practical and modular training. Completing the course the aspirant is given the certificate .
The exam is held twice a year during the month of june and december for the current year the last date for applying for the exam got over.

Friend,

If you apply now, you have to join at foundation level and clear four papers of foundation level. For the June exam, the cutoff dates are as follows:

joining ICSI 2nd April
Enrolment for Foundation Exam: 9th April

For the Dec exam, the cutoff dates are as follows:

Joining ICSI 1st Oct
Enrolment for exam: 10th Oct

So, you can notice that by joining now, not only you increase your workload, but also incur additional expenditure for the Foundation level.

Instead, if your results will be out sufficiently before Oct, immediately get admitted for the Executive level and start preparing. If you get ample time, you will be able to prepare and appear for the Dec. exam.

Please do not try to compress your schedule unduly.

The minimum educational qualification to apply for a company secretary course is 10+2. The course has three stages which are Foundation, Intermediate and Final. Foundation course is open for those who have only done 10+2. Those with graduation or a pass in final exams of ICWAI or ICAI can directly apply for the intermediate stage. After doing the Intermediate course and clearing the exams one goes into the final stage. To become a company secretary a candidate needs to be a member of Institute of Company Secretaries. For that one needs to clear the final stage by passing the examinations, gain practical experience and do the required training. A company secretary needs to have very good Communciation skills, excellent command over English, analytical mind and ability to explain things to the directors and decision takers in the company.
