hello sir/maam,
i m a student of std 12th, i m interested in opting architecture as my career.
i would like to have the necessary information regarding the entrance exams for B.arch and the requirements for the same.

Its great to hear that you are following your interest which is architecture.

Well there are 3 main exams in India which will fulfill your dream of getting into the top institutes for architecture course

1) IIT JEE

2) AIEEE

3) NATA

These are the 3 exams of which i know at present.

IIT JEE:

For IIT JEE you must clear the entrance exam then only you will be allowed to sit for the architecture aptitude test. This is a rule of the IITs. Once you clear both the stages you can take admission in top arch college like IIT Kharagpur

Its a dream of all architectural students to study in IITs

The forms are normally out in month of november so keeo yourself updated by checking the official sites

Next is

AIEEE:

This exam is slight easier to crack and there are more no of seats compared to IITS. You will just need to appear for 1 test which is aieee. You will have to answer an aptitude and a maths paper and you will be given a rank according to your performance

The forms of AIEEE are normally out in month of december

Last is

NATA:

There are many colleges in India which accept NATA score to consider admission into the architechture courses. This is considered easier but competition makes it tougher

Soto be safe prepare for all these entrance exams . Take up some coaching, refer some good books and you surely crack it

I have done my 10th and nw im doing the diploma in interior designing and i want to do architectur after this diploma. Then can i get admission for b.arch after this cource (10 2)? If yes then wich exams i have to qualify for IIT, or any good college.

Various exams for which could help you to get in for b.arch are
1. AIEEE For architecture
2. NATA
Also various colleges perform their private entrance test exam . so you can even opt for that & get admission in b.arch

Yes ankit , you can still opt for b.arch , all you have to do is go through various competative entrance exam & get in .
Exams like AIEEE , NATA helps you to get admission in any good college . also you can go for various private college entrance exams . best of luck .

Dear Friend
Admission in IIT for diploma holder students is a tedious job.
Though you are eligible to appear JEE, I would like to tell you that IIT-JEE does not entertain diploma holder students separately, which is really the worst drawback of AICTE or those who make rules.
The same is with AIEEE and NATA.
The entrance exam question includes question based on 12th standard which you have not studied. The only paper you can rock is the Arch paper.
So, its a tough job for diploma holders to grab such colleges, but it's not impossible.
If you are focused for great colleges of INDIA, invest your one year completely for IIT-JEE, AIEEE and NATA. One year sincere preparation is enough.
The result for Arch and Design comes separately so you just have to clear the cutoffs of PCM and your score will be raised by design paper.

Hey the best way to enter into the B.arch stream is through IIT JEE,AIEEE.There is even a test named National Aptitude test in Architecture through which you can get selected in IIT's/NIT's/deemed Universities and private universities.

A bachelor's degree in architecture (B.Arch) or Diploma in architecture is needed to become a qualified architect. For practical purposes there is no difference between the two qualifications.

The basic eligibility criteria for B.Arch is 10+2 (senior secondary Class XII) or equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination from a recognized Board/University with a minimum of 50% marks in Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics). Besides this, the candidate must qualify an entrance examination.

How to apply for nata 2011 Exam? Tutorials in Bangalore giving coaching for NATA? Is NATA compulsory or CET is sufficient to do B. Arch?

I aspire to become an architect, but I don't want to take up Science stream In 10 2. I am aware that Maths is necessary for doing architecture, but is Science 'complulsory'?

Eligibility criteria for b.arch is as follows:-


a bachelor's degree in architecture (b.arch) or diploma in architecture is needed to become a qualified architect.

Entrance tests : Admission to first year of five years full time undergraduate course in architecture (bachelor of architecture) in various colleges of india is through national and state level entrance examinations.

1. The cbse (central board of secondary education ) conducts a national level entrance examination- all india engineering entrance examination (aieee) on an all india basis for entry to undergraduate programmes in b. Architecture and b. Planning in government and private institutes. The paper consists of mathematics, an aptitude test and a drawing test.


2. The national aptitude test in architecture(nata), the online test with drawing exam is conducted by the national institute of advanced studies and architecture in association with the council of architecture (coa). Nata measures aesthetic sensitivity, critical thinking, perception, observation and architectural awareness.


3. Entrance to architecture programmes at the indian institutes of technology (iit's) is through the national level joint entrance examination (jee). Private institutes conduct entrance exams of their own. Different states also hold separate entrance exams for admission to architecture and engineering colleges in the state.

Friend you can pursue your interested engineering stream IN A best colleges of INDIA through three All india entrance exam such as

>AIEEE

>IIT

>NATA

And there are other state exams too ,to get into your interested subject.

yes you can give exam.
first you should decied which entrance test you want give such as IIt-JEE, AIEEE,PET etc.
it is upto you how much sincere and honest you are in your study, work hard you will definitely get success in your entrance exams.

For B.Arch you have to qualify the exam like A.I.E.E.E, I.I.T-J.E.E.

A.I.E.E.E exam is conducted by C.B.S.E .

Eligibility criteria:-
> Pass 12th with Physics, chemistry and maths with minimum 50% marks.

> Must be above 17 year and below 25 year.
> Must be citizen of India.
