I am graduated from BCS(comp science). So, sir please tell me that am i eligible to give the exam for the post of Forest Officer from MPSC?

MPSC stands for Maharashtra Public Service Commission .

Maharashtra Public Service Commission conducts recruitment examination every year for various posts under its various departments like Administration, Police, Forest and Engineering etc.

So, one who wants to become Forest officer in Maharashtra has to appear for the MPSC exam.

Eligibility criteria for the MPSC entrance exam :-

-Nationality : Indian .

-Academic qualification : graduation or equivalent degree from any recognized university or institute.

-Age criteria :

General category : 19 years to 33 years.

OBC category : 19 years to 36 years.

SC/ST category : 19 years to 38 years.

Handicapped candidates : 19 years to 45 years .

-Selection criteria :

*Preliminary Exam,

*Main exam, and

*Interview.

You should have done bachelor degree Bachelor degree with related subject or should have done B.E/B.Tech in Agricultural from any recognized university.

Your age should be between 18-33 years.

Age relaxation is given to government rules.

MPSC Forest Officer Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

Educational Qualification: You need to have a bachelor's degree in related subject or B.Tech degree in agriculture to apply for this exam.

Age Criteria: 18-33 years. There is age relaxation available for the reserved category candidates.

Exam Pattern:-

General Studies- 200 marks- 1 hour
General Science and Nature Conservation- 200 marks- 1 hour

General Studies Topic:-

• History of India with emphasis on that of Maharashtra
• Economic and Social Development
• Indian Polity and Governance, Constitution and Political System, Rural and Urban Local Self Government
• Physical and Social Economic Geography Of India and the World.

Yes you are eligible to write entrance exam for the post of Forest Officer.
Candidate must be a holder of Bachelor degree from any of the recognized university.
Candidate must have at least 55% aggregate in their graduation.
Candidate age should not less than 21 years and should not exceed 30 years.
Candidate under reservation category get reservation as per government norms.

Eligibility criteria required for post of Forest Officer in MPSC is mentioned below :-

>> You must be an Indian Citizen.

>> You should be more than 21 years of age and should be less than 32 years of age.

>> You must have completed your Graduation course with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering from a Government recognised university.

First thing I would like to make you clear that Forest officer comes under Union government projects and hence to be a forest officer you need to clear IFS examination held by UPSC once every year.

To be eligible for the same examination you need to have the qualifications mentioned below:-

* You must have the nationality of India with your age lying within 21 years to 30 years till the 1st July of that year in which you are appearing in the same examination. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per the government norms.

* You must have completed your bachelor degree with any of science stream subject or geography or forestry or agriculture or any equivalent course from a recognised university.

So having done B.Sc with Computer Science you are eligible for the same examination on the basis of your educational qualification.
