Eligibility criteria for Fire Officer post in Manufacturing sector?


Sir,

I have 17 years of experience in the field of fire fighting in Indian Air Force and certificate issued by IAF too. Can this be considered appropriate for the post of Fire Officer in manufacturing sector as per government fire and safety guidelines.

The manufacturing units will essentially have a department with considerable population for fire safety. They will engage in fire fighting, taking safety measures against fire accidents and also in the training of the employees in fire fighting. The recruitment for these positions will be based on experience in similar capacity. A Diploma in fire and safety will be very handy. However in practical scenarios companies recruit graduates and 10th qualified also.
