Re: Eligibility for engineering entrance exams?
After B.Sc you are eligible for engineering entrance exams, but as you mention that you have PCB in 12th std. then you are not eligible for IIT and AIEEE but you will be eligible for state engineering entrance exam.
The eligibilty criteria for engineering entrace exams are- 1. You should have 10+2 with P.C.M from a recognized school or college. 2. minimum percentage required for IIT and AIEEE is 50% and for other states it is different. |

Re: Eligibility for engineering entrance exams?
Dear friend,
First of all, let me tell you one thing that you should not think much about engineering at this stage. As you didn't show enough interest to keep Mathematics in 10+2, you are not eligible for any state level engineering entrance. You haven't mentioned your state. There are many state level entrance exams where there's no limit of attempts. So, now forget it. As you didn't have Mathematics in B.Sc, lateral entry is also out of question at this stage. The only option which is still alive before you is to go for diploma engineering from polytechnic colleges on the basis of your 10th board result. After 3 years of diploma course, you can take lateral entry in B.tech courses. But from my point of view, if you study further in your subjects or write other competitive exams, it will be more beneficial for you. There is nothing like that only engineering can give you good job and nothing else can't. If there isn't any special reason to opt for engineering, don't go for it. Regards ~Uttam Nandi~ |
