ACcording to JTO Exam eligibility criteria

The candidates in following branches can apply for

Radio
Telecommunication
Computer
Electrical
IT
Electronics

They have even mentioned that the student in final year can also apply for the entrance test.

So go for it

Yes definitely you are Eligible For writing JTO exam if and only if your B.tech Branch must fall under specific branch like Entc, Electrical, and Civil.

you are eligible for JTO exam because this exam is conduct in may -june that time you have passed your semester and then you will be eligible for any exam.

Eligibility:
For JTO (Telecom) vacancies candidates having a Bachelors degree in Engineering/Technology in any of the following streams are eligible:-

Telecommunications

Electrical or electronics

Radio engg and

Computer engineering

Information Technology.

Candidates must possess the bachelors degree on or before 31/12/2009.

For JTO( Civil) vacancies candidates must possess BE/BTECH or its equivalent in Civil engineering.

For JTO( Electrical) vacancies candidates must possess BE/BTECH or its equivalent degree in Electrical engineering from a recognized university.

DETAILS ABOUT BSNL JTO EXAM

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :

JTO-TELECOM

Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology or equivalent Engineering degree in any of the following disciplines from a recognized engineering college/university.

i. Telecommunication,
ii. Electronics,
iii. Radio,
iv. Computer,
v. Electrical.
vi. Information Technology

Final year student are eligible for JTO exam..

JTO-CIVIL

You must have Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology or equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institution/University.

JTO-ELECTRICAL

You must have Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology or equivalent in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institution/University.

AGE LIMITATION:-

The maximum age for JTO exam is 30 years.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.

NATIONALITY:-

Only Indian Citizen are applicable.

For this year BSNL JTO exam date not announced yet.
