Re: GATE rank card validity period
Hello friend,
Yes you are eligible to apply for the GATE exam as you are in your 3rd year B.Tech study. And the validity of the GATE score is two years counting from the year you crack the exam, that means if you seat for this years' GATE exam and score a rank, your score will be valid for the years 2011 and 2012. all the best! |

Re: GATE rank card validity period
You are very well eligible for writing GATE exam, because GATE score is valid for 2 years, so even after you complete your B.Tech, you can use your GATE mark, and this is a right time to give a go for GATE exam. ALL THE BEST

Re: GATE rank card validity period
dear friend
GATE exams score card is valid only for 2 years. For example, if you has given GATE 2010examination, then your GATE score will be valid up to 2012. But dont worry, you may re-appear the GATE exam if you are not satisfied with the earlier score and the new score. if your new score is better than the old one, the it will be used for admission purposes. So, please dont worry, the GATE exams score card is valid for 2 years.......... |

Re: GATE rank card validity period
Hai friend!
Yes you are eligible for writing GATE exam, since you are in 3-1 it is possible to write GATE and the score card is valid till two years from the year that you cracked the GATE. If you are not satisfied with your GATE exam then you can write again and again till you secure good percentile and score because there is no limit in attempting GATE. If your last exam score is better then you can apply with that score and percentile. Good luck! |

Re: GATE rank card validity period
Well friend !!
3rd year is probably the best time to give a shot at the GATE exam...as you will have an exposure to the question pattern and the level of difficulty... moreover the vbalidity of GATE score card is 2 years...suppose if you score good in GATE exam...then it will be valid for you even after you finish your engineering... But remeber,...in third year you may not be able to answer many questions..but remember you must not loose hope.... Because you will do better the next time onwards.. Good luck !! |

Re: GATE rank card validity period
You are eligible provided you have secured a first class in your b tech. Your GATE score will be valid for two years from the announcement of the results, ie, if you take the GATE this year, it will be valid for this year and the next. Another factor that you need to keep in mind is that you will have to clear the cut offs. Only then will it be valid.
