what is the validity of gate score and how many times we can attempt gate exam?

Gate score is valid for 2 years from announcement of Gate results....There is no mention in Gate brochure about restriction in number of attempts....

You can attempt GATE exams only two times. If you are a general candidates then you can apply two times and if you are belong SC/ST, then you can attempt manny number
of times you want. There is no limit for SC/ST candidates.

And the GATE exams score is valid only one year from the date of announcement of the results.........

Candidates of general categories can appear for GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test) twice ,OBCs can attempt four times and Sc/ST can write GATE any number of times.GATE is the entrance exam for for PG courses in engineering and architecture.GATE consists of 65 objective questions.It has negative marking also.Refer the site gateonline.gateiisc.in/gate2011 for more details.

There is no limit for appearing and you can't appear it in 3rd yr if you are doing a degree course of 4 yrs....

There are not any restriction on number of attempt but your rank card will be valid for 2 year.
so keep your rank card safe for two years.

the validity of GATE score card is two years, from the year in which you have passed the exam.

also as M.TECH is a professional courses so there is no any restrictions on the attempts.you can appear for many times.also there is no mention about the number of attempts.

the notification will be coming some were around the month of September,
the gate score is valid for three years and also,there is no limit for number of attempts and third year students are eligible to write gate

the gate score is valid for 2 years from the year in which you have given the exam.and there is no limit to how many times you can give exam.it has only the age limit and the age limit is 30 years and within this time you can appear as many times as you want.there is age relaxation for SC/St candidates.

if you are giving gate exam in your pre final year then your gate score is valid for two year otherwise it is valid only for one year......... there is no limitation in chance ,you may give gate exam untill you will not qualified .........

GATE SCORE is valid for two years...if you have marks more than the cut off marks of the corresponding year...You have unlimited number of attempts/....

validity of the score of the GATE exam is just for an year and as it is repeated every year hence the new score is taken into account.....................
for a general person it is only twice attemped but a SC/ST candidate attempts it as no of times as he/she wants to...........
but it should be given by full seriousness and hard work..............

GATE score is valid for only two years from 2010. This validity period is liable to change , so keep checking it every year.
There is no fixed number of attempts in GATE exam. You may take this exam as many times but it is better to take the exam preparation because last year performances are also have some small weightage. So keep this thing in mind while doing this.
