i am 3rd year b.e eee student.my cgpa upto fourth sem is 7.1 with 2 current arrears.my marks in 10 and 12th is 84 and 87%

For TCS selection the Eligibility is :-
1.)need to have consistence 60% from 10th,12th and B.tech..
2.)Should not have more than 2years Education Gap....

and Must have clear all the backlogs if you will clear it you will be eligible..as you have good percentage and have a good chance to join TCS.

Yes one who have a consistancy of 60% in 10th,12th and b.tech is eligible for TCS..and you have above these you are definately eligible..but
for writing exam of TCS and doing job in TCS one must clear its arrears..this is also cumpolsury.

so if you are able to clear your arrears then their would not be any problem..

TCS has set 2 eligibility criteria for applying directly as a fresher:
1. Minimum 60% marks in 10th, 12th & Btech (all semester including optional subjects)
2. Less than two years of gap in academic career.

You have mentioned aggregate marks of up to 4th semester but in TCS percentage of marks obtained in each semester is taken into account. So, if you have more than 60% marks or equivalent grade in each semester of engineering then only you can apply.

Further, You should not have any backlog in engineering. So, try to clear your backlogs before completion of Btech degree.

Yes,you are absulutely eligible for TCS campusing,because, the critaria of TCS is 60% overall,means 10,10+2 and graduation...

I think you can also clear your aptitude if you practice Barron's book or any GMAT or CAT entrance book...
And also practice GD regularly,and improve your spoken power in english and technical skill...

Below a list of TCS recruitment criteria is shown:

1.10th, 12th – 60% & above B.E.Agg-60%&above(Upto current Sem)(equivalent CGPA)
2.MCA – 60% & above (Graduation 60%)
3.No current backlog
4.Break in studies maximum up to 2 years is permissible only with valid reasons.
5.Maximum permissible age of the candidate is 28 years.

This criteria may vary with different institution.

yes you are eligible if u clear ur backlogs before tcs placement....eligibility is consistent 60% and above from class10....wiyhout standing areear.....

TCS recruits candidates securing 65% or above,they even consider marks of each semester.

Since you have backlogs please complete them as soon as possible i.e before ou get relieved from your respective college so that you can get selected in TCS.

for the placement in TCS you should have consistent 60% mark in 10th, 12th,B.E/B.tech.
As you are scored cgpa 7.1 with 10th and 12th mark is 84% and 87% raspectively.
You hv good enough mark for TCS.

You have a good score in 10 and 12th standard,and also in graduation. TCS critaria is 60% overall and you have also those marks so dont warry you are eligible for TCS campusing...
Prepare yourself for Placement,practice your mathematices,LOgical & analytical portion and also varbal...
I will suggest you A effective book for TCS that is GRE barron...

if you can complete your B.Tech with minimum of this marks then you are eligible for TCS according to marks.

actually the eligibility criterion for TCS is you should have minimum of 60% marks throughout your career to join in TCS. and there should not be consecutive two years gap between your study.

you have a very good marks in 10 and 10+2 level. so you have no problem with this marks. now B.Tech to get 60% marks you have to get CGPA of 6.75. now you are continuing with 7.1 so if you can hold it you will be eligible for TCS according to marks criterion.

More than 60% is enough to take TCS test.

I am Sharath i got selected in tcs.i had no history of arrears till my 7th sem with 74%.but unfortunatly i had 2 arrears in my 8th.will they allow me and give time to complete it.do they postpond my posting or reject me.kindly help me with reliable information

1) you must score 60% in through out in career.

Yes,you are eligible only if you don't have arrears when TCS comes for recruitment .History of arrears in general should not be an obstacle.But note the prerequisites of the company changes every year.Avoid further arrears if you are serious to get placed.
