Re: How to apply for government job after B.Tech in ECE?
The details regarding the various government jobs will be published in various job portals, employment dailies or in the official websites of the company where vacancy exists. You can apply for suitable positions on the basis of that. After B.Tech ECE, you can apply for jobs in reputed public sector companies such as BHEL, SAIL, ONGC, HAL etc. UPSC and SSC exams can also be attended for jobs in different government departments. Bank jobs can also be applied. The selection to the above mentioned jobs will be through written examinations.

Apart from being an engineering graduate, you must be within the age limit of 21 years to 30 years. The maximum age limit is relaxed upto 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC category and 5 years for Sc/St category. Apart from the Engineering Service Exam, you may also write examination conducted by the Railway Recruitment Boards for recruitment in its technical department. In order to join Public Sector Undertakings, you must have scored well in your engineering program. Most of the PSU's considers applicant with a minimum of 60% marks and apart from that, many of the PSU's also requires the candidate to have qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. Apart from these examination, you may also appear for several other like civil service examination, combined graduate level examination, combined defense service examination, central police force examination etc. conducted by Union Public Service Commission and Staff Selection Commission. |
