The result of June exam is declared in the month of october and the result of December is declared in the month of April.

For Junior Research Fellowship - Not more than 28 years as on 01/06/2011. A relaxation upto 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PH and VH categories and to women applicants.

For Lectureship - There is no upper age limit for applying for lectureship eligibility.

Registration process for UGC - NET exam have already been started.. The important dates to note for the exam are as follows...


-> Application Registration Date - 29-3-2011 to 25-4-2011

Eligibility Criteria

AGE LIMITS:

For Junior Research Fellowship -

Not more than 28 years as on 01/06/2011.
33 years is upper limit to the candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PH and VH categories
and to women applicants.

For Lectureship

There is no upper age limit.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :

If you have Master’s Degree with 55% from universities recognised by UGC.
Final year students are also take the exam.

You have to posess a Master degree to be eligible for appearing in the NET examination.

NET exams are conducting twice a year, i.e., in the months of June and December by UGC. The notifications announcing the June and December examinations are published in the months of March and September respectively in the weekly Employment News.

the eligibility criteria for NET is M.Sc or equivalent degree under the subjects mentioned above, with minimum 55% marks for General and OBC candidates and 50% for SC/ST candidates, Physically and Visually Handicapped candidates and Ph.D.

A candidate can also apply for the Test under RA (Result Awaited) category, if he/she is appearing or has appeared in his/her final year (III/IV Semester where Semester system is there) of M.Sc. or equivalent degree examination in subjects mentioned in above. Such candidates will have to submit the attestation format (given at the reverse of the application form) duly certified by the Head of the Deptt./Institute over his/her signature and rubber stamp (with address and name) from where the candidate is appearing or has appeared in the final year M.SC or equivalent degree examination. However, such candidates shall be admitted to the Test provisionally. They shall only be considered eligible for JRF-(NET)/LS-(NET), if they are able to produce the proof of having passed the Master’s Degree examination in the relevant or related subject with the requisite percentage of marks and within the stipulated time frame.

The advertisement regarding UGC-NET examination Dec 2009 is likely appear shortly - in the coming week itself. You will have a month time for applying the test - till the last week of Oct.

NET-National Eligibility Test

All you wanted to do to write the NET exam is that you that you must be eligible for the exam and should know the application process.

The information for this is mentioned below for your reference:

The subjects to be referred for the test are
1. Chemical sciences.
2. Earth sciences.
3. Life sciences.
4. Mathematical sciences.
5. Physical sciences.

The education qualification to be undergone are:

M.Sc. or Equivalent degree under the subjects mentioned in para 2.1 above, with minimum 55% marks for General & OBC candidates; 50% for SC/ST candidates, Physically and Visually Handicapped candidates and Ph.D. degree holders who had passed Master's degree prior to 19th September 1991.

The age limits and the relaxation time are:

For JRF (NET): Minimum 19 Years and maximum 28 years as on 01-01-2011 (upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years as in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC(Non Creamy Layer), Physically handicapped/Visually handicapped and female applicants).

For LS (NET): Minimum 19 years, as on 01.01.2011. No upper age limit.

The NET exam date is18-12-2011 But still UGC have not published application brochure .

The application details will be published in 26th September,2011.So you have to prepare well for NET exam.

There are one declaration is announced UGC . No negative Marking in Paper-I and Paper -II exam.

Online form will available after 26th September.
