Yes, you are eligible to be an Army officer being a Arts candidate. The examination conducted for these are NDA and CDS examination. Both the examination is conducted by the UPSC and the eligibility for both of them is different.

The eligibility to appear for the NDA examination is :-
* Candidate must have passed or pursuing in the 10+2 from a recognised board.
* Candidate age must be between 16.5-19 years.
* Only male unmarried citizen are eligible.

The eligibility for the CDS examination is :-
* Candidate must have passed the graduation degree from a recognised university.
* Candidate age must be between 19-23 years.

Both the examination are conducted by the UPSC twice in a year and conducted in two stages as Written and the SSB.

It is necessary to qualify in both the stages for the final selection. After qualifying you are given a training before the final recruitment as an officer post.

So select the examination according to your age and current educational qualification. For more information visit at www.upsc.gov.in.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
