How to become an Income Tax Officer after B.Com?
Hello Everyone,
I am a B.Com final year student. What should I do to become an Income Tax Officer? Kindly tell me about this asap. |

If you wish to become Income Tax Officer, you have to appear for SSC CGL exam.
Income Tax Officer (ITO) exam is conducted by SSC (Staff Selection Commission) every year.Notification for SSC exam is generally published in the month of April every year and exam is conducted in the Month of November . Eligibility criteria to apply for the exam are as under :- -The candidate should hold any degree from a recognized university of India. -The candidate age limit to apply for the exam should be from 18 years to 27 years as on the 1st July of the year of examination.There is relaxation in upper age limit for OBC candidate by 3 years, 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 10 years for PWD. Physical Requirements: Height :157.5 cm Chest :81 cm ,with expansion of at least 5 cm . Selection procedure consists of Preliminary Examination , Main Examination , and Personality Interview . Preliminary Examination: Written Objective type Examination (Tier 1) I General Intelligence + Reasoning - 50 marks II Gen.Awareness- 50 marks III Quantitative Aptitude - 50 marks IV English Comprehension - 50 marks Total Marks - 200 Duration: 02 hours Main Examination : Written Conventional type Examination (Tier 2) I.Quantitative Abilities : 200 marks (100 Questions) Duration: 2 hours II.English Language & Comprehension: 200 marks. Duration : 2 hours Total Marks : 400 Personality test/Interview :100 Marks Candidates can apply either online or offline. If you want to become Income tax officer then you must apply for the income tax officer entrance exam which is called Staff Selection Commission Graduate Level exam. This is conducted once every year and three stages:
1. Tier I 2. Tier II. 3. Interview. Any candidate who has done bachelor's degree from a recognized university can apply for this exam. So being bachelor of commerce candidate you can apply for the exam. The age limit for SSC CGL exam is 18-30 years with upper age relaxed for the candidates of reserved category. Once you clear all the three stages, you can become Income tax officer. |

To become Income Tax officer you will have to appear SSC exam which is combined graduate level exam.SSC staff selection commission which is conducted in every year.
Eligibility criteria for this exam are :- You must be graduate in any stream from recognized university. There is no any specific marks requirement in graduation for applying this exam. Age must be in between 18 to 27 years. Relaxation will be provided to reserved categories. 5 years age relaxation for SC category candidates. 3 years age relaxation for OBC category candidates. Selection Process:- Written Test. Personal Interview. |

To become Income tax officer, you must apply for the Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate level examination. This exam is conducted every year by the SSC for the graduates of any stream.
Bachelor of commerce candidates can also apply for the exam. The age limit is 18-30 years for the candidates of general category and three years age relaxation to OBC and five years to SC/ST respectively. There are three stages of this exam namely Tier I, II and interview. The notification for the SSC CGL 2016 will be released in April, 2016. |

Eligibility criteria for this exam are as given below:- You must be graduate in any stream from recognized university.No any specific limitation on percentage in graduation. Age should be in between 18 to 27 years.Relaxation is applicable for SC categories up to 5 years & 3 years for OBC categories candidates. Selection Procedure:- Written exam & Personal Interview. |
