You have to appear for UPSC exam because the psc exam are conducted for these kind of posts.

After BCA you become graduate so the basic requirement for appearing into the Income Tax officer is graduate in any discipline from any institution.
You can collect the application form from the main branch of Income Tax office, New Delhi.
For this you have to prepare english, maths and GK. So prepare well for the exam and keep in touch with the Employment news.

Eligibility to be an Income Tax Officer-

1. Educational Qualification
To be eligible for becoming an Income Tax Officer one should hold a Bachelor of any stream.
So as you have done BCA, you are eligible for becoming Income Tax Officer.

2. Age
The candidate must have attained the age of 18 years on 1st July of the year of examination and must not have attained 27 years of age on that date.

The upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

Recruitment for Income tax department is done through the exam of civil service, UPSC & for tax assistant through SSC & some from SSC CGL exam. This year there is no such exam specially for tax assistant but you can give exam of civils & CGL of SSC

For that you need to clear civil service exam conducted by UPSC and then choose IRS cadre.

this exam is conducted by every state in there department and this exam is conducted by the civil services exam of there state.

the income tax officers are eligible after 12th and also after in graduation.

After Completing Your Bacholar Degree You Are Eligible To Appear For Income Tax Officer Exams Which Is Conducted By UPSC.

So, If You Are Interested To Appear In This Exams, You Must Have Attain The Age Of 18
Year And Must Not Have Attain The Age Of 27 Year. The Notification Of This Exams With Relavant Details Are Published In The Employment Newspaper. So, Please Read The Employment Newspaper of 2nd Feb 2011, Because The Notification Was Published On
2nd Feb 2011.

For that you have to clear civil service exam conducted by UPSC and then opt for IRS cadre.....

Clerical cadre is recruited through Staff Selection Commission(SSC) exams, Senior positions are recruited through Union Public Service Commission(UPSC)exams / Higher Grade officials are recruited directly through Civil services exams.

you will have to Regular touch with the Employment News .
For preparation you will have to improve you general Awareness,Basic Maths Applications and tricks and Reasoning types questions.

you are absolutely eligible for income tax officer exem,prepare your self for this exem and follow the emploment news...

you have no need to become income tax officer if u r having bca degree .u can become good engineer in software company,but if r interested to be income tax officer u can go through employment news paper where such posts are being advertised.and the procedure just to qualify the written test,

Yeah shore you are eligible for Income tax officer which is this exam is conducted by the SSC(Staff Selection Commission) once in a year i.e in the month of july.
