In order to become pilot in Indian Airforce, you will have to crack the Airforce Common Admission test.

AFCAT exam is conducted twice every year by the Indian Airforce every year. The online application for AFCAT II in 2015 is going on, you can apply for the exam if you meet the eligibility criteria:

For becoming pilot, you need to satisfy the eligibility criteria for pilot. Candidate must have done bachelor's degree in engineering or technology from a recognized university. Even if you have done bachelor's degree in any stream and have studied mathematics and physics at 10+2 level, you can apply for the exam.

You must score at least 60% marks in bachelor degree.

The age limit is 20-24 years for candidates applying for the exam.

Important dates for AFCAT II:

Starting date of application: 27/06/2015.

Last date to apply for exam: 23/07/2015

Date of exam:13/09/2015.

You can apply online for this exam at www.careerairforce.nic.in.

Entrance examination consists of two papers of General ability test and Engineering Knowledge test for technical branch. General ability test is of 2 hours and consists of 100 questions from general English and awareness, aptitude and reasoning.
