Hai,
After 12th standard you want join in indian airforce then you have to appear an exam called NDA(National Defence Academy). This exam is every year two times conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. Here in NDA exam 2other wings also commenced at a time every year then total three wings in NDA exam. Differant types of wings in NDA:- Indian airforce, Indian navy, Indian army. The requirements and eligibility details to apply this exam is given below. Eligibility criteria:- The candidate should be complete 12th standard from an aggregate board. To apply airforce or navy you must have complete your 12th standard with PCM subjects and here there is no such percentage restrictions to apply this exam. The age limits are 16.5 years to 19 years. You must be a citizen of india and physically fit. Only unmarried male candidates can only eligible for this exam i.e girls are not eligible. Nice to see that you are interested to apply for Indian Air force and definitely it is a possibility for you to Join Indian Air force just after completing Intermediate examination. If you have completed your Intermediate examination with Maths and Physics as a compulsory subjects, then you are eligible to apply for the UPSC NDA Examination. NDA stands for National Defence Academy examination and conducted 2 times in a year. Eligible candidates may fill the application form online from the official website of UPSC. This year Both NDA Examination was already completed and Next year NDA(I) Examination is going to be published soon in the month of December. Only unmarried male candidates between the age of 16.5 to 19 years are eligible to apply for NDA Examination. Your age not more than 19 years at the time of commencement of Training. The detailed age eligibility is properly mentioned in the official Notification, please check the notification before apply for the examination. The selection is based on written test, the test is objective with negative marking and you have to cracked two papers, If you cracked the written test then you are eligible to appear for SSB interview. You must be Medically and Physically fit in all the respect to apply for NDA, At the time of filling online application form, you have to give 1 preference to the Air force. As a graduate, you can enter into the Flying branch of Air Force through the Air Force Academy. It is one of the most prestigious training establishments of the Indian Air Force. Indian Air Force Pilot Exams Pattern Tests consist of: Written Examination, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Interview. You will first be tested in English. Those who qualify in English will be tested in Mathematics and Physics. After having successfully cleared this step, you will be required to undergo PFT consisting of 1.6 Km run to be completed in a maximum of eight minutes. Eligibility Criteria Age Limit: 19 to 23 years on the 1st of the month of commencement of the course. Educational Qualification: B.Sc. (Physics/Maths) 3 years or B.E. 4 years or B.Sc. (General) 3 years with Physics and Maths. You should not have failed INS-B/PAB Test earlier. Should not have been suspended in Flying Training earlier. Physical Eligibility For Male (a) Height: 162.5 cms (b) Leg Length: Not less than 99 cms and not more than 128 cms, (c) Chest: fully expanded chest should not be less than 82 cms with 5 cms expansion. Specific requirements for Indian Air Force Pilot is leg length has to be 99.00cm-120.00cm, thigh length has to be maximum 64.00cm and sitting height has to be between 81.50cm to 96.00cm.
You can be a part of any of the three branches of the Airforce after completing your graduation, Flying Branch, Technical Branch and Ground Duties Branch. Air Force Common Admission Test or AFCAT is by far the biggest exam conducted for entry into the IAF. Candidates after appearing for the written test has to undergo (AFSB)SSB . The written test is same for all the candidates irrespective of the Branch Applied i.e. Flying, Technical or Ground Duties. Age should be between 19-23 Years and aspiring candidates has to be Graduates (Three Year Course) in any discipline and have Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level OR BE / B Tech (Four Year Course) and should scored Minimum 60% in all papers put together. For technical entry, both Male/Female candidates should be between 18-28 Years and have acquired four year degree qualification from a recognized University. |

I have an aim to join as a fighter pilot in IAF but I need to know that if I should need to get a graduate degree like B.E or B.Tech. I have now completed 12th standard with Physics, MATHS, chemistry can I join in the IAF. If I have complete the B.E will they give more preference to me.
