Dear Sir, can I apply for NDA after 10th? Please give me the criteria.

Hey,NDA have three wings 1.Indian Army 2.Indian Navy 3.Indian Air Force

you can't directly join Any one of them after 10th ,you have to pass 12th class.For NDA,the exam is conducted y UPSC


Eligibility;-

INDIAN ARMY

1.You have to pass 12th with any stream from recognized Board

2.Age limit 16-19

3.You should be Indian citizen

4. You should Unmarried

5.you must be physically as well as mentally fit

INDIAN NAVY

1.you have to pass 12th in PCM with 60% compulsory for general .


INDIAN AIR FORCE

1.you have to pass 12th in PCM with 60% compulsory for general .

Candidates are required to apply online by using the website www.upsconline.nic.in Detailed instructions are available on the above mentioned website
Last date for receipt of applications: The online applications can be filled upto 21st

Important Dates

The online applications (Part-I/II) can be filled from 22nd December, 2012 to 21st January, 2013 till 11.59 p.m.
Last date for receipt of applications: 21st January, 2013, Monday
Date of Examination: 14th April, 2013, Sunday

No, you can apply for NDA only after 12th. You must be an unmarried male candidate to apply. Your age must be less than 19 years to apply. Aptitude, mathematics, etc are included in the syllabus for NDA. Detailed information is available in UPSC portal.

For NDA exam,you need to complete your studies i.e. after 10th complete 11th & 12th.Minimum qualification required to appear for NDA exams is 12th.

NDA exams are conducted by UPSC every year.

NDA(National Defence Academy) is conducted two times every year i.e.NDA-I and NDA-II.

The eligibility criteria required for the NDA examination are :

Educational Qualifications:

• Completion of 12th with PCM from any accredited board.
• Completion of 12th with Arts and Commerce for Army wing.

AGE LIMIT: 16 ½ to 19 yrs as of first day of the month in which course is due to commence.

One is not eligible to apply for NDA after 10th as the minimum academic qualification for NDA is 12th pass.

National Defence Academy(NDA) exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for an entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental Physique.

Hence to apply for NDA you have to complete 12th which can be applied on line only by paying requisite fee for the exam.

The selection is through written exam followed by Personal Interview along with physical fitness and Medical Test.
