Re: How can I become an IPS if I am 18 years old? I have completed my Rajayapuraskar in Scouts
I am sorry to say that you are not eligible to become IPS officer as you are having the age of only 18 years.
The minimum age criteria that is required for the candidates to become IPS officer is by 21-30 years. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. The selection procedure would involve Civil Services Aptitude Test Civil Services Main Exam Interview Civil Services Exam is the common written exam to be placed in all the civil services like IAS IPS IFS etc. You should have completed your Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university to apply for this Exam. Candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation can also apply for this Exam but they should be able to shoe the proof of passing in Graduation when they appear for Interview. So, first try to complete your Graduation with the stream as per your interest. Opt for the Optional subject in Main Exam in accordance with your stream in Graduation and have strong preparation for the same. By the time you complete your Graduation, try to be strong enough in all the aspects of the written exam. Wish you all the best. |
