I'm doing my b.tech in electronics and communication, i'm interested in joining indian army, so how can i serve the nation through army with my btech degree??

You can join Indian Army after passing Graduation in any stream through applying, appearing and cracking CDS(Combined Defence Service) entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year for an entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy.

The candidate aspiring for Indian Army of CDS, must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical and Mental Physique.

As you are pursing B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication, after completion of which you are eligible to apply for CDS to join Indian Army.

The CDS can be applied through on line by paying requisite fees for the exam.

The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview along with physical fitness and medical test.

yes,off course you can eligible for indian army

• A candidate should have completed their graduation with atleast 50% from Recognized Universities
  
  
• Citizenship of INDIA.

Age limite:

• For Indian Military Academy : 19-24 Years
• For Air Force Academy : 19-23 Years
• For Naval Academy : 19-22 Years
• For Officers’ Training Academy :19-25 Years.

To Join the Indian army after B.tech you need to apply for the CDS exam.

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service. This exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year.

CDS-I
CDS-II

CDS has three wings:

Indian Army
Navy
Indian Air force

Eligibility Criteria:

The applicant should be citizen of india.

The applicant should pass the Graduation from any recognized university with any stream.

Final year candidate are also eligible.

No minimum percentage required for this exam.

PCM subjects need for the Indian Air force and Navy Exams.

Age Limit:

Indian Army:

19 to 24 years.

Navy:

19 to 23 years.

Air force:

19 to 24 years.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for this exam.

Girls are not eligible for this exam.

Candidate should physically and medically fit for this exam.

Yes! You can join Indian Army as an officer by cracking the exam.

This exam called: Combined Defence Service CDS

Eligibility: Any graduate or BE/B TECH candidate with minimum 60% marks.

AGE: 19 to 23 years

This exam is held twice the Year, In the month of feb and November.



The exam has 4 sections:


Indian Military Academy IMA

Naval Academy NA

Indian Air Force IAF

Officers Training Academy OTA


Note: Female candidates only eligible for OTA


Subject to be prepared for Examination:

English (100 marks)

General Knowledge (100 marks)

Mathematics (100 marks)

Each exam is conducted for 2 hours and having 120 questions.

I am happy to inform you that you are eligible for Indian Army after passing B.Tech in Electronics and Communication.

For this you have to qualify the combined Defence Services exam.

COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES

C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

Age limit for C.D.S exam is 19-24 year.

In C.D.S exam unmarried Male and female are eligible.

You have to qualify the three stage of selection:-
> Written exam
> Interview
> Medical Exam

Date Of Notification:-25.05.2013
Last date of submission of form:-24.06.2013 (MONDAY)
Date of exam:-08.09.2013 (SUNDAY)

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts CDS Examination for recruitment of various vacancies under Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers Training Academy.

Eligibility Details:

Nationality: A candidate must be either
(a) A citizen of India, or (b) A subject of Nepal, or (c) A subject of Bhutan,or (d)a tibetan refugee or (e)person migrated from various countries.

Age Limit as per 2013:
Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1990 and not later than 1st January, 1995.

Educational Qualification:
(i) For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy: Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
(ii) For Indian Naval Academy: Degree in Engineering.
(iii) For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to CDS.
