10th standard candidate are not eligible for Indian Navy through NDA exam.

NDA stands for National Defence Service exam. NDA Examination is conducted for 3 wings-Indian Air Force, Indian Navy and Indian Army.

The candidates who have completed the 12th standard from a recognized board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA exam. Final year of 12th standard candidate are eligible for NDA exam.

Your age should be in between to 16.5 years to 19 years. There is no age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

Selection process for NDA exam:-

1.Written test
2.Physical test
3.Medical
4.Interview

Written test is conducted by UPSC but other 3 steps are conducted by SSB.

No, you can not join Indian Navy direct after completing your Matriculation (10th class).

If you want to join the Indian Navy then, you should have to apply for NDA examination. NDA stands for the National Defence Academy. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts this exam twice time in a year.

Through NDA exam you can apply for following three wings i.e.,
  1. Air force wing,
  2. Navy wing and
  3. Army wing
Candidates are eligible for this exam, only after completing their 10+2 (with physics, chemistry and maths) or its equivalent from the recognized university.

Age of candidates should be between 16 1/2 (Minimum age) to 19 (Maximum age) years. No any age relaxation provided on upper age.

Nationality: Candidates must possess nationality of India.

Marital Status: Only Unmarried male candidates can sit for this exam.

So, first of all complete your intermediates then, you will surely eligible to join it.

Indian Navy is one of the important wings of Defense of India.

You cannot join Indian Navy with 10th as academic qualification. At the level 10+2, NDA/NA entrance exam is conducted for selection of candidates into the different wings of defense.

So, a candidate can only apply for the NDA/NA entrance exam if he has passed his 10+2 or appearing for this exam and the age should be between 16.5-19 years.

Hence, first complete your 10+2 then only you can become eligible. This entrance exam is conducted twice every year by UPSC.

Written test is followed by Service Selection Board for selection of candidates.

For any kind of other details, you can visit the official site of UPSC that is www.upsc.gov.in

# It is very sad to inform you that it is not possible to join Indian Navy merely possession of educational qualification of matriculation.

# In order to join Indian Navy it is tequired that candidate must have minimum educational qualification of 10+2.

# After 10+2, most popular way to join Indian Navy or any other defence forces is NDA Examination.

# Another way to join Indian Navy is through Open Recruitment Rallies occasionally. Here candidate requires 10+2 (Physics & Mathematics) with minimum 70% marks in aggregate.

# But you are presently matriculate only and have attained the age of 17 years. Whenever you complete 10+2, your age must be exceed the required age for NDA Exam and Open Recruitment Rallies.

# Whenever you complete your graduation, you must have over-aged for CDS Examination in order to join Indian Navy.

# In short, you are going to miss the opportunity of joining Indian Navy. You are advised to complete graduation and go for getting jobs in other fields or sectors.
