Yes NDA exam is conducted twice in an year for the filling of vacancies of not only army but navy and air force also. But you can apply for air force through NDA only if you have Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level as subjects.

Age limit- The age of the candidate must be between 16.5 and 19 years to be eligible for the exam.

Besides these there are many physical standards also which you must satisfy I suggest you to check these before applying.

I am mentioning some of the important factors -

The minimum acceptable height 162.5 cm for air force. Some relaxation is provided to candidates from lakashdweep, North east region etc.

Ear, nose throat and even teeth must be in good condition also.

Some special requirements for air force pilot are leg length of 99cm to 120 cm, thigh length upto a maximum of 64 cm and sitting height of 81.5 to 96 cm.

If you want to join Indian Air Force As an Officer then you must have to qualify the National defense Academy Exam which is conducted twice in a year by the Union Public Service Commission as per your educational qualification.


In order to be eligible to appear for the exam , you must have to fulfill the basic required criteria in order to be eligible for the same :

After 12th standard you want join in indian airforce then you have to appear an exam called NDA(National Defence Academy).

This exam is every year two times conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.

Here in NDA exam 2other wings also commenced at a time every year then total three wings in NDA exam.

Differant types of wings in NDA:-

Indian airforce,

Indian navy,

Indian army.
