i have done b.com hons. i want to clear ias exam , but i dont know much about ias preparation. please give me guidelines, to clear the exam
what strategies should i adopt to clear the exam, what are the requirements, please help meeeee.

For IAS, one need to go through a civil services examination conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

The selection procedure will be by
-CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test)
-Civil Services Main Examination
-Interview

The only strategy to crack IAS is thorough preparation. Do hard work and smart work while preparing for the exam.

By the time you appear for IAS exam, be strong enough in Aptitude, General awareness and General English.

Here is the eligibility criteria for IAS exam.
-You should have completed Graduation from a recognized university
-You should be in the age group of 21-30 years.
-Relaxation is there in upper age limit for the candidates of SC / ST.

Selection Procedure

first one Preliminary have two papers
1.general studies
2.CSAT(Civil Service aptitude test
these two papers are objective type questions
second one Mains
it is an Descriptive
3.Interview
final selection based on all three section marks.

clear all the concept of your optional paper
then you should attain all the question....
for this:--

* you pass the graduation
* and choose 2 subjest
* optional * general knowledge

so easy to clear all IAS
but IAS is TOUGH exam........

hi..i am doing bba..i am in 2nd year..i want to clear IAS exam..for that i wanted to know some information..1-how many attempts i can give in open category?..2-plz let me know the optional subjects as i dont know much about it?..3-please give me the name of books which i should mostly refer for exams (prelims as well as mains)??..plz reply soon...m waiting
