How to get a good government job after B.E in mechanical engineering?


Hello, I'm second year mechanical engineering student. I want to get a good government job after BE. So what are the option available? Will IES be good choice for railway field? Please tell me exams or jobs which have more chance to get good job. I don't want to go for civil services.

## Mechanical engineering is the mother branch of engineering
## After the completion of B.E MECHANICAL,you can apply for Management trainee or assistant engineer post in core companies like
->HPCL
->IOCL
->ONGC
->GAIL
->NTPC etc and to get this post,you must have atleast 65% of marks in aggrigate in engineering & also you must secure good score in GATE examination
## You can also apply for government sector jobs like
~>Assistant Motor vehicle inspector and Regional Transport Officer posts
~>Jobs in banking field like Clerk,Probetionary Officer and Specialist Officer posts
## And the major industries that employ mechanical engineering graduates in private sector include
~>Automobiles,space research industries
~>Air conditioning,Energy and utilities industries
~>Oil and gas exploration & refining industries etc

Yes, IES is a good option not only to join railways, but also to join other engineering services. You can join as Section Engineer in railways by qualifying the selection process for RRB. GATE and CDS exams can be attended by final year. GATE qualified candidates can join PSU as ‘Executive Trainee or Engineer Trainee’. Those who qualify CDS can have Officer roles in defense.

Indeed if you want government jobs then Indian Engineering Service is an excellent option. I will definitely recommend you to apply for the IES entrance exam.

It is not only good for Indian Railways jobs, but there are various other government departments that also requires Mechanical Engineers. You can be selected for any of these government departments that I have mentioned below.

IES Eligibility

1. The candidate must be Indian citizen.

2. You should hold a valid B.Tech/B.E. degree.

3. There is no marks criteria in B.Tech.

4. Your age must be 21 years as on January 1 of examination year.

5. Age should be less than 30 years on the same date.

6. OBC candidate is eligible for 3 years relaxation in upper age limit.

7. While the relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST.

8. There is 10 years relaxation for PWD.

9. Final year students are eligible to apply.

After doing Engineering, it is wise idea to apply for IES.

IES - Indian Engineering Services

To be eligible for IES --

You should be B.Tech. / B.E. from a recognised college.

Your age should be between 21 years between 30 years.


After qualifying IES, you can get many jobs in different departments of Railways also.

My dear after the B.tech from a such reputed course you have a lots of the

opportunities to get a good job . You can join any company related to your field

and also can go for the government jobs in India in center government and in

State government .

Private jobs for that you are eligible are -:

** For the post of a engineer .

** As assistant Engineer in company .
