Re: How to get a government job after passing mechanical engineering with 75% aggregate
As you possess good academic score, there is no difficulty in obtaining a rewarding job. You can try for jobs with IOCL, BHEL, BEL, GAIL, etc. GATE score and 60% and above marks in engineering is required to have admission. Also you can apply for technical jobs with state PSC like transport corporation. In railways, you can join as Section Engineer or Junior Engineer. By qualifying IES, you can join in reputed services under central government.

Re: How to get a government job after passing mechanical engineering with 75% aggregate
Hi
You have good marks in your graduation. You need to appear for GATE exam as most PSU are recruiting based on your GATE score. You need to apply to company with valid GATE Score. Companies like BHEL, IOCL, BPCL, NTPC etc give call for interview to candidate based on GATE score. The better you score in GATE , the brighter is your chance to get into PSU All the best |

Quote:
After passing B.Tech in mechanical Engineering you have to qualify the entrance exam for taking govt. job. If you want you can take job like:- > Civil Services > Indian Engineering Services > Indian Forestry Services > Indian Defence Services > Central Police Force > D.R.D.O > C.B.I > Bank P.O > Indian Railways etc ALL THE BEST! |

Re: How to get a government job after passing mechanical engineering with 75% aggregate
You have done really well in the Bachelor of Technology course. Completing the course with more than 70 percent marks is not easy. Thanks to your good academic record, you are eligible for the government jobs.
However as you may know that government jobs are not offered without entrance exam. So you will have to appear for the entrance exam. You have two good options in front of you if want government job. Public Sector Undertaking Indian Engineering Service Public Sector Undertaking is the term for companies under the control of government. There are over 150 such companies that are dedicated to different fields. You are eligible to apply for job in them. However you must have cleared Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). In some companies there is no written test but instead the candidate is asked to provide GATE score. While others continue to conduct written test. Please remember that there is no common entrance exam for PSU jobs. PSU Eligibility 1. The candidate should be B.Tech degree holder. 2. Minimum of 60 percent marks in it. 3. Should not have backlogs while applying. 4. There is a requirement of GATE score. 5. Age limit is 21 to 30 years. 6. 3 years relaxation for OBC while 5 years for SC/ST. List of PSU BHEL DRDO ISRO BEL ECIL GAIL SAIL HAL NALCO NTPC HPCL BPCL IOCL ONGC MTNL BSNL Indian Engineering Service is also a good option which I will highly recommend to you. The jobs are very reputed which is why IES is preferred entrance exam for Engineering graduates. Good thing here is that IES is also conducted in Mechanical Engineering. It makes you eligible for the entrance exam. To apply you must meet the following criteria. IES Eligibility 1. Nationality should be Indian. 2. Valid B.Tech degree. 3. There is no marks criteria. 4. 21 to 30 years is age limit. 5. 3 years relaxation for OBC. 6. Relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST. |
