hi...
in the xat paper there is good number of marks in the reasoning and reading sections, you have to be really smart in these two sections, also there is an essay writing,so be prepared for that also, generally the topic for essay is something related to current scenario, in mat speed is the most important as the level of questions in sense of hardness is very low all the best |

Re: How to get a good score in SNAP/MAT/XAT?
I suggest to focus on the current affairs of last 3 months.
How to do it ? There are some obvious ways- (newspaper & magazines) which unfortunately are not very effective, as it is highly impractical for someone to read newspapers or magazines of a back-date. 2. The other way is mugging up the questions of few popular GK magazines. It is very unlikely that a good entrance exam will pick-up questions directly from such magazines. 3. The latest discovered way, which I think could be more fruitful is going smart and digital. There are few apps on which devoting even 10 mins a day could be mightily useful. I suggest two such apps: a) Knappily: The app gives detailed analysis of every news in a unique 5W1H (What, Why, Where, Who, When, How) format. The most important thing is that Knappily only deals with those topics which are hot and it covers all the domains - biz, tech, politics, sports, law etc. In two minutes you will get in-depth knowledge of the issue in hand. The issues discussed are less (which is the downside) but are important (which compensates the downside). It is more of a knowledge app which would also help in GD/PI. Inshorts: The app gives a 60 word summary of the happenings. In 20 seconds you would get some information of the issue in hand. Each day the app floods you with 100s of news (some important and many others not so), so selection of the relevant issues is the key here. It is more of a news app. Both Knappily and inshorts are loaded with features and are available in playstore and applestore. Even newspaper and magazines have their own app and you can use them too. The top coaching institutes for MBA entrance have their app too. |
