i am doing m'com.so is there any opportunity to get the job of commerce lecturer after completing it.please send me the details.

i have done my M.com with 48% and i want to start my career as lecturer..please suggest

NET qualified candidates are usually considered for Lecturer position in government colleges. Master degree with a minimum of 55% marks is the necessary qualification. The exam is conducted by UGC two times a year. There is no age limit for those applying for lectureship. Questions are based on aptitude and subject related topics.

If you want to become lecturer then better appear for the National Eligibility Test. This entrance exam is conducted for lectureship in central government colleges. By clearing NET, you can become lecturer in the government college.

National Eligibility Test is conducted by the University Grants Commission on the yearly basis. You have the option to appear for it in June or December. The registration for this exam is done online on the website of UGC.


NET Eligibility

1. Only those who have Indian citizenship can apply.

2. You will have to first complete post graduation to apply.

3. Although there is a option to apply during final year of PG as well.

4. But in that case, submit the degree in 2 years.

5. Must have scored 55 percent marks in post graduation.

6. SC/ST will need 50 percent marks.

7. There is no relaxation for OBC in percentage.

8. Your subject will be Commerce for the exam.

9. Apply for JRF before turning 28 years.

10. OBC should apply before 31 years.

11. While SC/ST should do it before celebrating 33rd birthday.

12. To apply for lectureship you must be 19 years old.

13. There is no upper age limit for lectureship.

14. There are no limit on number of attempts.

So you can apply for the NET exam.

NET-National Eligibility Test.

NET exam conducted by the UGC(University Grants Commission) two times in a year.

NET exam has two types one is JRF(Junior Research Fellowship) and Lectureship.

Eligibility criteria:-

The applicant should be complete Master's graduation with atleast 55% of marks from a recognised university.

Relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST category candidates.

Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Final year persuing students are also eligible.


Age criteria details for JRF:-

The maximum age limit is 28 years and no minimum age limit.

3 years upper age relaxation for OBC candidates,

5 years upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.


Age criteria for Lectureship:-

No age limits for Lectureship applying candidates.


Exam fee details:-

Rs 450/- for General category,

Rs 225/- for OBC category,

Rs 110/- for SC/ST category candidates.

You have to qualify UGC NET after M.Com for getting Lecturer job in Government colleges. In private colleges you can apply for Lecturer on contractual basis if they have vacancies in college.

For UGC NET 55% marks in Post Graduation is must . Those who are SC/ST/PWD will get relaxation in marks which will be 5%.

Age Limit:

No age limit for Lecturership.

For JRF age should be below 28 years.

I am complete my m.com at 63% and I'm st categoryand also write net exam I want become lecturer

I've completed M.com., and i have only 50% marks in that.. Can i become a lecturer? Pls guide me?

I m appearing pg student of 2nd yr semester system of CCS university. Done my graduation in B.com honers with 60% . I know that Ugc net is conducted twice a year. If I want to give this December exam 2015 am I Eligible ??? As my 2 semesters are remaining and will be completed by June 2016.

If i want to apply as a lecturer just after completing my m.com degree. Am i eligible for this? And i asking about private universities.

If you are interested to become lecturer after completion then you need to apply for the NET examination.
NET refers to National eligibility test which is conducted by UPSC.
You must have to get minimum 55% marks in your m.com and it should be from recognized university.
If you are from reserved category, then only 50% marks is required.
For JRF, age limit is 19 years to 28 years.
For lectureship, there is no lower or upper age limit.

However for private colleges you can apply on the basis vacancy criteria.
