How To Join Indian Army

The best option for you right now would be to appear for the NDA Exam (National Defense Academy) which is conducted by UPSC every year in the months of April and August..

Eligibility Criterion :-

A candidate is eligible for appearing for the NDA Exam only if he fulfills the following minimum criterion :-

1) The candidate must be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years as seen on 1st January for NDA-1 or 1st July for NDA-2

2) The candidates must have completed their 10+2 from a recognized board or must be appearing for the boards..

3) The candidates should be unmarried and are not allowed to marry during their training period..

The candidates shall undergo a training for 3 years under NDA and 1 year under IMA (Indian Military Academy)

You will have to clear the following rounds in order to get recruited to the Indian Army :-

>> Written Exam

>> SSB Interview

>> Medical Examination

A candidate has to face 2 exams in order to clear the written exam :-

Paper-1 :- General Studies

Paper-2 :- Test of basic Maths,Science and English..

You have 2 years time with you so you can easily tone up your body according to the standards required..

You can join the Indian Army first you can apply for the NDA exam.

NDA stands for National Defense Academy.

This exam conducted by UPSC twice in a year.

NDA - I

NDA - II

NDA has three wings:

Indian Army

Indian Navy

Indian Air force

Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality:

You must have Indian Citizenship.

Educational Qualification:

You should pass the 12th standard from any recognized state board of India.

Percentage is not required for this exam.

PCM subjects are required for Indian Navy & Air force.

Age limit:

Your age limit should be between 16.5 to 19 years.

There is no upper age limit for this exam.

Gender:

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for this exam.

Female candidates are not eligible for this exam.

There is no limit of attempts required for this exam.

Selection Process:

Written Test

SSB Interview

Medical Test

Syllabus:-

Mathematics:300 marks,

General ability:600 marks.

(a) 8th for Tribals of all North East States
(b) 10th for Non Tribals of Assam,Meghalaya and Tripura
