BCA stands for Bachelor's of Computer Application .

The minimum educational qualification required for BCA course is needed 12th standard.But your 12th standard marks must be above 45%.

But your 12th standard course must contain Maths or Stat or Computer Application subject.

Some colleges conducts their own entrance exam , in this case they can consider any subject requirement.

To join BCA there are number of colleges all over the India and every college has its own criteria to give admission to the candidate.In some colleges there is no criteria of marks but you have to pass the entrance exam conducted by the college.In some colleges there is criteria of marks ie +2marks % greater than equal 60%. But in every college you have to pass entrance exam.

Bachelor of Computer Applications ( BCA ) or the alternative courses like Bachelor of Information Sciences ( BIS ) / Bachelor of Information Technology ( BIT ) / B. Sc. (H) (Computer Science) is an undergraduate course for the XII th pass students interested in making a career in the field of information technology . The exam pattern will vary from university to university. As per the new system the paper will have three sets of question types. Each of them will be having different weightage. It is important to attempt each of the types. The general pattern is as follows:
Objective Type Questions – This section will have questions for which the answer will have to be answered in one or few words. There will be four options of answers to select from.
Short Answer Type Questions – Answers to these questions will need to be answered in few sentences. Basically it is a must that the answers be precise and to the point.
Long Answer Type Questions – For this part it is a must to answer the questions in detail. The candidate must be careful not to repeat the same information again. Also the students should make it a point to answer each answer in a systematic way.
Eligibility

The general eligibility criteria to be eligible for applying for BCA course you must have completed your Higher Secondary (+2) Examination or equivalent(diploma degree), with minimum 50% marks in total and also having Mathematics as subject in the qualifying examination. Also, as I mentioned earlier the above criteria is generally observed in most institutions offering the BCA degree but some institutions might also drop the minimum % marks required to get admission in the BCA course.

While good number of colleges admit on basis of class XIIth marks but some reputed institutions conduct entrance test for admission to BCA course
