Nagaland is a state located in the far north-eastern part of the nation and the state is bordered by the state of Manipur to the South, Burma to the east, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh to the north and Assam to the west. The largest city in the state is Dimapur and the capital of the states is the city of Kohima. English was declared as the official language of the state of Nagaland and it is used as the medium of instruction in schools and colleges in Nagaland. Even though, colleges are not higher in number of Nagaland, BCA course is being offered in the state.

BCA Education in Nagaland:

As mentioned earlier, BCA course is offered only by a few colleges in Nagaland and the actual number of colleges offering this course is two. Since the number of colleges offering BCA is lesser in the state, there is a heavy competition among students to get into this course and these two colleges offer admission to the students based on the merit secured in the higher secondary examination. Best thing about BCA colleges in the state is that they are provided with the best teaching and learning facilities for the sake of students. These two colleges are actually universities and therefore candidates can get the degree of BCA directly conferred from the universities itself rather than getting the degree through college. Of these two university, one offers education under open learning system in such a way that even working people can get BCA degree.
