If you want to Join Indian Army as a commissioned Officer, Below are the Details of Entries

NCC Entry is not the only way to get into Army . There are other options too Like After your Graduation You have Four Options

One is CDSE i.e Combined Defense Services,(Click here for More instruction )

Second is SSC i.e Short Service Commission Technical Entry and

Third UES i.e University Entry Scheme.

Fourth option is Through TGC i.e Technical Graduate commission

There are Lot of Entries Just make your self Perfect To crack SSB. SSB is Service Selection Board from where you will face Interview, Group Discussions.

SSC(Short Service commission)

All are very good what ever you can join at any time but all are
with in AGE- 21 to 28 years.

because the age limit is 16.5 to 19years

Yes you can join the Indian Army through the technical or non-technical mode. When any vacancy opens you should apply according to your requirements.
You can also give the CDS or CDSE exam to join the defence service.

To join Indian army after Completion of BE through CDS Exam

Eligiblity

For Indian Military Academy:
Degree from a recognized university or equivalent
age : 21 to 24 years

For Officers' Training Academy
Degree from a recognized university or equivalent
age : 21 to 25 years

Selection Procedure:
The individual candidates will be called up for a series of personal interview taken by the board of officers on the basis of which will the selection of the candidate will take place.

As a graduate you can join Indian Army through CDS exam .CDs stands for Combined Defense Service .through this exam you can join different academies and the eligibility criteria for different academies are different .

For Military Academy = graduation from any recognized university and age limit is 19 to 24 years .

For Air Force Academy = Graduation from any recognized university with physics and Math and age limit is 19 to 23 years .

For Naval Academy = Degree in Engineering and age limit 19 to 22 years .

You can apply in all the combatant branches , through the CDSE [COMBINED DEFENSE SERVICE EXAMINATION],.conducted by union public service commission [UPSC].
Through this examination, there are the recruitment of the various officers ranks in all the branches of the Indian army.


Through this examination, one can apply in all the branches of the Indian army i.e. In naval, air force & military branch.

for appear in this examination, one must possess at least a graduation degree from a recognized college.
For apply in naval & air force win, you must have physics & maths as the passing subjects in graduation with at least 60%(aggregate).

The age limit for the IAF[INDIAN AIR FORCE] is 19-23 years,.
the age limit for the NAVAL is 19-22 years,.
The age limit for the IMA [INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY] is 19-25 years,.

You are now in 2nd year of B.E so you are eligible only for NDA exam.The details of the NDA exam is given below.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NDA EXAM

Those candidate have completed their 12th standard are eligible for NDA exam.

But your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.

Only unmarried male candidate are applicable.

SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR NDA EXAM:-

1) Written test which is conducted by UPSC.

2)Personal Interview.

EXAM DATE FOR NDA EXAM:-

Date of commencement of notification : 31-12-2011
Last date to receive completed application forms : 30-01-2012
Date of NDA I Exam : 15-04-2012
