dear sir i want join in indian army after passing 10 with 62% olny

You can join Indian Army as a soldier after 10th but after 12th you can join Indian Army as an Officer through cracking NDA(National Defence Academy) entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year to join Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and and Mental health.

There is no percentage of marks required in 12th for application to NDA which one can apply through on line only.

The selection is through written exam followed by personal Interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.

Physical Standard for NDA Examination

Sorry to say that you have no options or you can say that opportunities at class tenth to join the Indian Army .

For joining the Indian army ,you must have at least 10+2 as the minimum qualification so that you can become eligible for the National defense academy exams which is the gateway to different wings of defense at 10+2 level.

>>10+2 appearing candidates can also appear for the NDA exams.

>>For Indian army ,you can pursue your 10+2 in any stream but for the Navy and Airforce you must do your 10+2 with science stream from a recognized board.

So first go for the 10+2 then think about this.You have two years left for the exam and it is enough for the exam preparation along with your board exam preparations.So try to make command over mathematics from class 10th to 12th ,general knowledge ,and general science with general english like finding out errors in sentence etc.

You can go for the Arihant publication books for the preparation or you can also join the institutes also for the NDA exam preparation like Olive Greens ,Minerva academy,Baalnoi academy etc.

The age limit for the exam is 16.5 to 19 years and you must be unmarried male Indian citizen.

I am really sorry to say this you are not eligible to apply for the INDIAN ARMY

Because with the 10th qualification you can not apply for it

For this you must apply for the NDA exam

For that you must have studied the " 12th " class minimum


And only Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for the exam

And You must have a minimum of 16.5 years

Maximum age is allowed up to 19 years

You must be Physically Good ...

You want to serve the nation, which is really appreciable, You can apply for the NDA (NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY), after 12th, This nda examination is conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC). Through this NDA examination, one can apply for the INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY (IMA), INDIAN AIOR FORCE (IAF), & NAVAL ACADMEY (NA)..

As you are in class 10th, you must have to complete your 10+2 level,. as the minimum educational requirements for the NDA examination is 10+2 degree from a recognized board.

If you are a IAF & NA aspirant, you must have to take Physics & maths in 12th, in addition, you must have to score at least 60% in 12th.
Other wise you can only apply for the IMA .

The age limit for this NDA EXAMINATION is 16.5-19 years, remember that, there is not any kind of age relaxation criteria is applied for the reserved categories.

You must have Indian nationality,.

You must be a unmarried male.

You cannot join Indian Army just after class 10th.

You should complete intermediate in order to join indian Army.


Indian Army can be joined through NDA exam.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy.

It is conducted by UPSC, twice -

NDA I
NDA II

If you want to give NDA exam after 12th, then these are the criterias -

You should be 12th pass from a recognised central or state board.


Your age should be between 16.5 years to 19 years.

You should be a male candidate.

You should be unmarried also.

Satisfying these eligibility criteria will make you eligible for NDA exam.

There are three stages of this exam -

1. Written exam
2. SSB Interview
3. Physical examination

Sorry 10th pass are not eligible for Indian Army and you must be atleast 10+2 pass if you want to join Indian Army.

So study further and complete your 10+2. If you opt Physics and Maths then it will be good for you because then you can apply for all the three wings of defense.

After passing 10+2 you can apply for NDA examination if you are interested in Officers post in Indian Army.

The age limit for NDA exam is 16.5 to 19 years and you must be an unmarried male of India.

The selection procedure will have an Objective Type Paper, SSB Interview and Medical Examination. If you manage to get top marks in these stages then you will surely join NDA.

You must be very well prepared for the exam and also you should have required physical fitness then only you can join NDA.

You can also apply for Non Officer post like Clerk, Nursing Assistant and General Duty Soldier after 10+2. The selection will be based on the Written exam and Physical fitness test.

NDA exam is conducted in Three Wings:

1)Indian Army
2)Indian Navy
3)Indian Air Force


If you have completed 12th std from recognized Board then you are eligible for National Defense Academy exam , Final years students also eligible for this exam , there is no percentage marks required....

Age limits are 16.5 years to 19 years, no relaxation in age limit....

Only Unmarried Male are eligible for it , girls are not eligible for this exam....

You must be physically fit...

You must be an Indian origin....

You can join Indian army after completing 12th. There are no specific mark requirements to join army. NDA is the gateway to join. Only unmarried male candidates can attend NDA exam. Age of the applicant must be less than 16 ½ and 19 years.
