You are eligible provided that you have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects in 12th. Also you should have atleast 55% of marks. You will need to appear for to appear for the exams like OPENNET. The test will be in areas related to the 12th portion. If you are eligible start your preparations early.

To enter in the indian defence its a normal and easy way ..

to appear for that and choose your choice ...

Yes you can join.


You can join the merchant navy either after completion of 12th standard or after Marine engineering.

There are various entrance exams like IGNOU, IIT - JEE etc. which you need to appear for.
Then there will be a one year training. After completing your sea time for the next post as the
2nd mate also there are exams which you need to clear. For each post there will be exams which
you need to clear to become a Captain. You need to have at least a 50%.

ELIGIBILITY/AGE LIMIT -Age of both unmarried male and female candidates
should not be more than 20 years.those belonging to the SC/ST have relaxed by about 5 yrs.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS -Candidates need to show proof of completing 10+2 system or equivalent, having passed Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics as elective subjects.

To Join Merchant Navy, you may follow the following steps:
1. You may pursue Marine Engineering to join the engineering department.
To pursue the course, you must have passed +2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
The course is offered by Marine Engineering Research Institute (MERI).

2. You may pursue BSc in Nautical Science to join the navigation department.
To pursue the course, you must have passed +2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
The course is offered by TS Chanakya, Mumbai.

3. You may join Merchant Navy as Deck cadet.
The minimum educational qualification required to join as Deck Cadet is +2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

After 12th you apply for the NDA..
all defense paper conducted by the NDA department you apply for that...

and after graduation if you are in technical field choose CDS exam to enter in the Navy..
