Hii sir.i m abhishek.i read in +2 class.and i believe that i gain 80% marks.i want to go im merchant navy as aofficer so what should i do after +2.

Hi sir i am Mohit studying in +2 class. i am sure that i will be getting more tha 80% n +2.
what should i do after +2? hope for afavourable consideration.

Is there any apply for the post of navy?

If you want officer level job in the Merchant Navy then it would be necessary to study further. The officer level jobs in Merchant Navy are the most preferred as they come with good salary and additional perks.

The job of Merchant navy is primary related to transportation of the goods. Today more than 90 percent of world trade is done via sea. This should help you understand the importance of Merchant navy.

Now if you are interested in studying futher then there are two options for you. Either apply for the B.Sc Nautical Science after completing 12th or you should go for the Marine Engineering.


Eligibility

1. 12th standard should be completed with PCM.

2. Only unmarried candidates are eligible.

3. The age limit is 20 years.

4. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST.

5. You will have to meet some physical criteria like minimum height of 150 cm and 6/6 vision with no color blindess.

After which you can either apply for B.Sc Nautical Science or the Marine Engineering course. Upon completing you can apply for some officer level job in merchant navy.


Direct Entry

You can also get officer level jobs by completing B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Technology. It would be necessary to complete 9 months of pre sea course in Marine Engineering from MERI for such candidates.
