I am pursuing cs final....i have done my graduation in commerce (bcom), but i m very much intrested in public sector banks... plz guide me what should i go for after cs ...

If you want to apply for the jobs in the Public sector banks, tahn you have to give the written tests and Interview.

Right now you can apply for the SBI PO exams.
Forms are being filled right now.

SBI PO exam will be held on 28th April 2013
Last date to apply for this exam is 23rd February 2013

Education-
Bachelors Degree pass in any stream.
No minimum percentage of marks is required in Graduation

Age-
Minimum 21 years
Maximum- 30 years
Candidates should have born between 2nd January 1983 to 1st January 1992

Chances: General candidates- 4 times
OBC candidates- 7 times

Working in a public sector bank is a craze among students who wish to make a career in banking sector. Reason is obviously the less working hours, high salary, incentives, allowances and job security.

After graduation you can join public sector banks at clerical evel or as an officer.

For clerical position you need to clear CWE and for probationary officer (PO) you need to clear IBPS Exam which is conducted by several Public sector banks every year. You can qualify these exams with little hard work and sincerity in your effort.

Once you get entry you can grow in the bank with your hard work and ability and can reach to the level of bank manager.
