Hi Krishna, Engineering is basically a technical field where you don't only study about techniques but also you apply it in practical life to solve certain problems in different field and make things easy. Its involve in everything.. from road construction to making railway engines, from chips to micro processors, From software to aerospace and lots more. There are following groups in engineering:
Choosing a group completely depends on your own interest. All the fields are different from each other. But still they are related. Mechanical, civil and electronics engineering are old, core and evergreen branch of engineering. You can have lots of job opportunity in these fields both in public and private sectors but they have more options in public sectors. Software field takes all types of groups but students from CS and IT groups can sustain there. This field have lots of job opportunities and in mainly private sectors but may have some chances in public sector too. Aeronautical engineering and marine engineering are in demand now a days because of its interesting work profile and high salary package. It depends on you where you want to go but according to me if you have interest in aeronautics you can go for it. But do it from a reputed college only like IITs, NITs and BITs as these colleges can only provide the facilities actually required for this field. Else you can go for software field from any college but from a good college. Best of luck! |
