Well, let me talk in general. Number of hours doesnt matter at all. What matters is how you utilize those few hours by studying the matter thoroughly with full concentration.

So the same thing applies for NLU exam. Since this exam is considered to be as tough as CLAT you more number of students appear for it. So to be different from them you should put in 6 to 7 hrs per day quality hours

Please note that you should always take break in between otherwise its of no use

All the best

hi friend if u concentrate on your study and read only 5 to 6 hrs per i think u can crack it
there are different sections CLAT is divided into:

1. General Awareness: requires thoroughness in current affairs, something achieved over a lengthy period of time.
Reading the newspaper comprehensively on a daily basis is the optimum way to achieve this.
Also the IAS Competition magazines came come handy.

2. English: Words, their meanings and their usages too occupy a respectable place in

the CLAT marking. To ease the onerous task of memorisation a number of tests are

required which can help you refresh after each round of memorisation.

3. Mathematics: as mentioned by few of us, maths in Clat mainly copmrises of simple

problems of time, distance, speed, profit and loss, discount, simple interest and area and volume.
so regular practice everyday can sail u thru.

4. Legal GK: this part carries some 45 marks and is impportant to crack clat. you can

study this from various sources. you must know which article contains what. There is no need to go deep into it and try to interpret it using case laws or read up intensively on

it. You may also be asked on legal history, such as the legal developments in India before and after independence.

5. LR: Comprising tests like Assertion and Reason, Passage Reasoning and Statements and Contradictions, the LR section tests the ability of the candidate to understand paragraphs and logically connect them

Hi friend,

NLU-National Law University entrance exam.Its a little bit tough exam because its related to law.U have more chances of outwilling it by spending some 4-5 hours of reading for the exam with some relaxation inbetween gaps.

The main thing in studying is that you have to understand the matter whatever you have read in a simple way so that you could notify them at the time of exams.Try not to get more deviated while studying.If you follow these,you are sure to get selected.
All the best.

hey For NLU don't concentrate on number of hours as it doesn't matter .rather go for materials and model test papers this would help you a lot for last days before exam

For getting cleared into CLAT you should study atleast 5-6 hours or it totally depends on the student in how much time he gains it varies from student to student so you should study according to your convenience.

But here i'm providing some tips to prepare for CLAT :
* Start reading a good quality newspaper (like THE HINDU) daily,to improve your vocabulary and reading speed.
*For G.K start reading magazines like CSR,FRONTLINE to cover current topics.
* Listen to news everyday.
* Buy a good book like HIGH SCHOOL GRAMMER by Wrenn & Martin.
* For maths learn all the algebric formulaes & also try to work on Commercial maths topics like percentage,profit & loss.

~ BEST OF LUCK ~

NLU Delhi Exam Pattern

->Total Marks: 150
->Total number of questions: 150
->Duration of the Examination: 1 hour 30 minuteS

Subject areas and marks distribution

->English: 35 Marks
->General Knowledge: 35 Marks(Current Affairs, General Science,History, Geography, Economics, Civics)
->Legal Aptitude: 35 Marks
->Reasoning: 35 Marks
->Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability): 10 Marks

You need to cover all the above topics,so plan accordingly.In spite of this,time management and studies with full concentration is always required.Anyways,6-7 hours studies would be sufficient.
