After the completion of 10+2 in science stream you can join Indian Air force as an officer through National Defence academy examination. This examination is conducted by the Union Public service commission twice a year. To apply for this examination you need the following eligibility criteria:

Education Qualification
Candidate applying for the National defence academy examination should be 10+2 pass. Those appeared in the 10+2 examination are also eligible to apply for this examination.
Candidate applying for the Indian Air force and Navy should have physics and maths at 10+2.

Age Limit
For the National defence academy examination candidate age should be between 16.5 to 19 years.

No percentage of marks criteria needed to give exam for Indian Air Force through NDA.

NDA stands for NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Central/State Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental health.

The selection is through written exam followed by Personal interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.

If you are good in social science, physics,maths,chemistry and a little knowledge about current affairs. Then you must apply for NDA exam. Which will benifit you to take yourself in air force. And for that you need more than 50% marks.

A 12th standard completed student can be eligible for Indian Airforce through NDA(National Defence Academy) exam, but there is no restrictions about percentage in 12th standard.

NDA exam conducted by the UPSC twice in 1 year.

There are three wings in NDA examination i.e indian army, indian airforce and indian navy.

For indian navy and airforce the applicant have to complete 12th standard with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry subjects, but no need for Indian army applicants. The minimum age limit is 16 1/2 years, the maximum age limit is 19 years. No upper age relaxation for any reservation candidates. The applicant must be physically fit for NDA exam and also the candidates should be a citizen of India.
One most important rule is that "Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for the NDA exam, so girls are totally not eligible for this exam". There is no need of percentage of marks in 12th standard. NDA selection procedure is based on three stages those are Written examination, SSB interview and Medical test.

Written examination syllabus are,
Mathematics--> 300 marks,

General ability--> 600 marks.

Total-900 marks.
