I m in B.E.(Electronics n telecommunication) and got placed in T.C.S. I want to do Mtech but i was not prepared for 'Gate'. Will i b able to do study for 'Gate' while doing job? Please suggest me what should i do.

Yes you can obviously prepare for GATE..
you can join GATE forum or other distance learning center so that you can get all information and study material online or by post so you don't have to go and get it...
and I know it's hard to study after all whole day long job in TCS..
but if you really want to do higher study then you can get it..
be patience and do it whenever you get time...
you can give online sample exams...

GATE is an entrance exam will basically test the candidate’s fundamental knowledge in various science subjects. As to prepare for GATE while working you will have to be much focused and practice extensively in the spare times. First you have to get your fundamentals or basics very strong. This is the first stage. Move on to the second step which includes self evaluation and lots of mock tests. You should purchase few good standard books for the GATE and practice with it accordingly. You can choose from the different ways by which you can prepare for the GATE. This includes, joining a good coaching institute, use books or reference materials and carry out self practice or prepare with mock tests.

Ya as a fresher u dont have a lot of imp work so in extra time u go for classes and take study for gate exam........

yes you can definitely do it if you have the will...off-course there must be work load for you while you are working there in TCS but it will always depend on how much time you can take out for your preparation of GATE....this year exams are over and you must be planning to appear for next year...so there is lots of time before that....you need to plan well and start your preparation as early as possible when you are in touch with the subjects or else the known also may become unknown...so first step is get a good book...for ECE book by RK KANOIDA seems to be preferred by many...so get one soon and start the preparation and do keep some time daily for you preparation and am 100% sure that if you really dedicate time from now on you can get through it...but make sure that you are not too overloaded by your job and preparation..so get some time out too...

It is bit difficult to prepare for GATE exam while doing job because there are many reasons for this

->first is you will get deviated due to work athmosphere

->Family may not give full support as they did while you're studying

->Due to some money related matters also you will not get concentrated on your GATE

As you know Gate is the highly competitive exam in the country..

some people spend their whole day for months together to crack this exam if you do your preparation part time

I hope you may not clear the exam with a good rank

Doing M.tech with private college is mere waste

So If you are really passionate about Gate exam then Earn good ammount of money

then resign to your job before 3-4 months of the exam

go for coaching concentrate highly on the exam

then give the attempt

you will definitely get a good rank

yes you can prepare for GATE, you start solving papers in net only.their are lot of forums, which are conducting daily tests on net. one of them is "onestopgate".

you can also prepare from G.K publications book for GATE, concerning your branch.
Even i had cleared GATE exam in first attempt by studying this book.

You can also join in weekend classes provided by many private institutions, where there would be classes only on saturday and sunday, and i believe it would be your weekly off

Any way you are doing job in top Multi national company TCS.

I would suggest you to perform well in your job.

If your performance is well in the next two years which is the equal time to complete M.Tech, then definitely you will be get promoted to higher level.

Anyway if you are much interested in joining M.Tech, then you can go for that.

For that you have to crack the GATE exam.

So you have to do both hard work and smart work at the same time. Hard work in your job and smart work in your GATE preparation.

As you find little time to prepare for GATE exam, try to go through previous papers and important topics.

Try to finish the subjects first which you feel easy to prepare.

And finally hope for the best

how can I make my english strong for MBA entrance exams

I completed my B.E Mech in 2009-2010, now i am doing job but i decided to prepare for GATE-2012 IN 5 MONTHS. It's good to do preparation now?

im working in a mnc and giving gate 2012.
is it neccesary to buy all my subject books again as i dont hav them wid me. or a single book of gk publication is sufficient....
please help..

You can prepare for GATE exam while doing your job.All you have to do is a little time management.
For this be thorough with the concepts of the subjects, solve previous year papers,sample papers,
Solve maximum number of questions from a question bank.I would suggest you to refer the G K PUBLISHERS.
you can also go for correspondence course with online test series programs. these are provided by :

if u r consistent in ur preparation u can crack any paper. as for gate basic funda is fundamentals and den practice. i recommend kanodia publication books for that.

I am a graduate of 2012 in Mechanical Engineering. From past two years I am working in Pvt Company and my salary package is also good (4, 32,000 P.A.) but I feel something is missing in my life and I want to do big in my life. So I decided to try for GATE-2015 but I am from middle class family so I can%u2019t quite job and prepare for GATE full time, so I joined weekend coaching classes also. From last 2 weeks I am going to class am studying 3-4 hrs every day. But I am an average student so I didn%u2019t get confidence that I can clear the GATE so my mind is changing now, n I am thinking to stop coaching classes. Please sir help me, Is it possible to Crack GATE with doing 8-9 hr Job???? And after GATE also I have only one option PUS%u2019s, I can%u2019t stop earning money (Family Issues).
So Sir please suggest is it possible to crack GATE with Good Marks (for PSU) with doing job??? N what should i do for that????? Or shall I concentrate on my Job only.
