*The candidates should be a graduate from any discipline , from recognize university
*the candidates age limit- 22 - 30 yrs there is a relaxation for sc/st & obc candidates.
*the candidates should be an Indian citizen .

Hello friend,
For Indian Police Service, you will have to qualify civil service exam.
The best way to prepare for the exam is by following its syllabus and previous years question papers.
The examination comprise of two written exam apart from an interview.
The first stage is known as civil service aptitude test and the syllabus is as follows:
Current events of national and international importance
History of India and Indian national movement
Indian and World Geography- physical, social, economic geography of India and the world
Indian Politics and governance – constitution, political system, panchayati raj, public policy, Rights issues, etc.
Economic and social development – sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives etc.
General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change
General science.
Comprehension
Interpersonal skills including communication skills
Logical reasoning and analytical ability
Decision making and problem solving
General mental ability
Basic numeracy
Data interpretation
English language comprehension skills

Once you qualify the first stage, you will move on to the next one which is known as the Main exam and it comprise of compulsory as well as optional papers.
