Iam a student doing enginneering in B.E EEE first year in Tamil Nadu... I like to pursue my Higher studies in IITs .. for that , what should i do?

Being a B.E. student, you have an opportunity to appear in GATE in the final semester of your graduation or after your graduation.

GATE exam is conducted by IITs and IISc. Bangalore. Since the competition is tough you need to put a good score to reserve a seat in one of the IITs for M.E./M.Tech. courses of some specialisation related to your branch. Every IIT generally provides more than one specialisation, so you have to choose among them according to your own interests.

So, if you want to get into IIT for higher studies, then you should focus on clearing GATE exam with a good score. GATE score is valid for two years after you appear for the exam.
