Hello all readers, can you please tell me how to apply for CAT 2017 programme? I have tired to find some useful information but all spent time was in vain but now I came here after getting referred by a friend that this site have good amount of experts who solves queries.

Candidates who have passed or appearing final year of bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% can apply for CAT.

CAT Registration Process
- Visit the site : www.iimcat.ac.in
- Go to link "Online Registration".
- Register online by entering your name , email id , mobile number & country etc.
- Add captcha & Tick on "I Agree" check box.
- You will receive password.
- Login & Click "Go to Application Form".
- Fill the application form by entering correct details.
- Select IIM Programmes , Interview Cities , Exam City & Make a payment of application fee.
- Click "Submit" for submission of application. You will receive confirmation mail.

CAT Exam Pattern
- Total Questions : 100 ( Quantitative Aptitude : 34 Q , Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning : 32 Q , Verbal & Reading Comprehension : 34 Q)
- Total Marks : 300
- For each wrong answer , there will be 1 mark deducted.
- Time Duration : 3 Hours (For each section 1 hour)

CAT Important Dates
- Starting of Registration : 08/08/2016
- Last Date of Registration : 22/09/2016
- Download Hall Tickets : 18/10/2016
- CAT Exam : 04/12/2016
- Announcement of Result : 2nd Week of January , 2017

CAT is the Common admission Test which is conducted for the selection of candidates in to the PG course which is MBA and other business administration programs in various top institutes like IIT,NIT,IIM's etc.

CAT is the computer based test which is held all over the India.The test comprises of various sectors such as

• Quantitative Ability
• Verbal Ability
• Reading Comprehension
• Data Interpretation

There are some common eligibility criteria available in order to appear for the examination and some of the common eligibility are.

1. Students who are in their finale year of graduation or degree course from a recognized institute
2. Candidates who have completed their graduation with at least 50% of the aggregate from recognized institute by government of India are eligible

There are some steps to be followed such as

1. Register through the above link if you have already registered log in other wise sign up for the CAT registration
2. Fill all the mandatory fields
3. Submit the application
4. Pay the fee in any of the payment options available

Important Dates for CAT registration

• Date of Registration -8th August 2016
• Last date for Registration-22nd Sep 2016
• Date of Admit card release-18th October 2016
• Examination Date-Dec 4th 2016
