After passing your Graduation you should apply for CDS(Combined Defence Services) Exam . There are four streams for which a candidate can apply.These are :

1. Indian Military Academy.
2. Indian Naval Academy.
3. Indian Air-Force Academy.
4. Officers Training Academy.

Through this exam you will have to apply for Indian Military Academy.To apply for this post you will required to meet these Eligibility conditions :


Educational qualification :


~Your minimum educational qualification should be Graduation pass pout in any discipline from recognized university.
~You must have studied Mathematics as one of the paper in Inter level.
~English should be your compulsory paper in Graduation Level.


Age Required :


~Minimum age required is 19 years.
~Maximum age allowed is 24 years.

Exam pattern for CDS Exam for Indian Military Wing

• Questions will be asked from three sections.
• Total marks for each sections will be 100.
• Total duration for each section will be 2 hours.

Exam Syllabus for CDS Exam for Indian Military Wing

• English - 120 Questions.

• General Knowledge - 120 Questions.

• Elementary Mathematics - 100 Questions.

After graduation, you can join to Indian army by qualifying CDS exam.Degree qualification can be obtained in any discipline. Your age must be between 19 and 24 years. The exam is conducted by UPSC. Topics on Enlish language, General Knowledge, and elementary mathematics are asked for the exam.
