Dear friend
All bachelor degree students from a recognised university are allowed to take the Civil services examination. It doesn't matter which stream did you have during your degree course. Also you can select any optional subject provided. you can visit the following web address for knowing about UPSC. http://www.upsc.gov.in/ http://upscportal.com/civilservices/ http://www.civilserviceindia.com/ http://www.civilserviceindia.com/subject/ Thank You |

Re: IAS after b.tech in IT
dear,
you are eligible for appearing for ias exam........the minimum eligibility for ias exam is graduation in any discipline....... all you have to do is to start preparing for the prelims .... The civil services examination is basically a test to choose suitable administrators. It tests the candidate right from the stage when one starts the preparation. A proper action plan is needed for the preparation itself since he /she will be tested for some essential qualities like power of retention, clarity of concepts, ability to identify the correct alternatives with efficiency and accuracy. A good presence of mind is needed to eliminate the least appropriate options and arrive at the right one. Tick out the least correct answer first and go on to the next option. Even when faced with a question for which you do not have a ready answer, with basic common sense and a good presence of mind, it is possible to make your guess a smart and a correct one. read more at :- http://www.civilserviceindia.com/ best of luck |

your query is wague and not clear. There is no practicals in IAS . If you are asking about the procedure, then here some. On completing a graduation course (Graduation is must for CSE Examination), You need to apply for the UPSC CSE examination conducted in the month of May. The notifcation and details of application for this Examination will be given in the Employment news in the month of January. Do keep checking the Employment news for notification. Can also find it in the UPSC website : http://www.upsc.gov.in/ The CSE Examination happens three phase, PRilims, Mains and Personality test. On applying, You will appear for prilims inthe month of amy. On clearing the Exam, You will be contacted by UPSC for further proceedings. You will be sent an application form by UPSC for MAin Examination. Thus you will appear for the Main Examination. On clearing the Main Examination, You will be called for personality Interview. Good Luck. |
