i am 11th commerce student and want to join army...is it possible,if yes ,how

One can join Indian Army after 10th i.e as a Jawan(Soilder).

If you are appearing in 11th then it would be quite better to continue till 10+2 even with commerce.

10+2 Commerce passouts students are eligible to join Indian Army by appearing in NDA(National Defence Academy) examination conducted by UPSC twice in a year.

This is one the Best and Prestigious option for 10+2 appearing/passout students.

You can even apply for this exam while appearing in 10+2.

Arts students are also eligible for the exam.

Dear Friend

You can either apply for Indian Army on the basis of your qualification as 10th passed or
you can apply after graduation.
If you would be a science student in 12th you could have applied for NDA exam.

Now, it is completely your that you want to join at which qualification.
The more you wait the more you get, i.e. if you join after graduation then you will get
a much higher post rather than joining after 10th. So, its upto you.

After 10th:
A combined entrance exam is conducted for the Soldier rank namely
Soldier (General Duty),
Soldier Technical,
Soldier (Clerk/Store Keeper) and
Soldier (Nursing Assistant)

The notification for the CEE is published in Employment News and National dailies and
in Indian Army official website.

After Graduation:
After graduation you can apply for Combined Defense Services Examination.

After qualifying CDS you can join Indian Army at officer ranks.

Its good to hear that your future plans are to serve your country.Its a good and appreciable job that you have chosen to join in Defense wing.Well I guess if you want to join in army than you can't join by only completing 11 standard.

The minimum criteria for appearing NDA is 12 pass.Don't worry you have one more year to pass and so you can appear next year also.The age limit is 19 years and above.I know you will take all the necessary steps to join in defense sector.

There is no any specific way to join Indian Army on the basis of your class 11th degree or qualification . but you can join indian army on the basis of your class 10th or class 12th degree.
I will advice you to try for this after completing your class 12th . note your subject or stream should be science. since you are studying in class 11th so it would be beneficial to join after 12th.

UPSC conducts NDA exam twice a year which is infact an entrance exam for the students to enter into indian army.

If you want to Join Indian Army as a commissioned Officer, Below are the Details of Entries after 12 class, Even you can write them @ the time of your 12 class. You can't Join Indian Army with out completing your basic 12 class. And don't worry A commerce student also can join Indian Army .

Lets See how many modes are there to join Indian Army.

One Entry is National Defense Academy Exam:

NDA is conducted by upsc Government and it Held twice in a year as NDA I and NDA II.

Its Pattern Consists Of General Ability and Mathematics.

General Ability Consists Of few History, Geography, G.K , Current affairs etc.
Mathematics Consists of 11 and 12 Mathematics, Trigonometry.

The same pattern goes for NDA II also.

Second Mode of Entry is Direct Entry i.e Technical Entry Scheme, In this you don't have to Write Exam, Based on your PCM performance in 12 Class, Merit list is formed and Call Letter is send to those who are in lists.

Even After your Graduation You have Again two to Three Options

One is CDSE i.e Combined Defense Services, Second is SSC i.e Short Service Commission Technical Entry and Third UES i.e University Entry Scheme.

There are Lot of Entries Just make your self Perfect To crack SSB. SSB is Service Selection Board from where you will face Interview, Group Discussions.

Dear friend, Indian army is a good opurtunity to service our country. Now you will have to pass 12th class after 12th class you are eligible for NDA and TES. Now you can try only on the base of 10th standard as a post soldier. There is a better option after completion ur graduation. You can get information by the official website of indian army. If you join Indian Army so, firstly you clear 12th after that you will be eligible for the NDA Exam connected to UPSC.

Well friend Indian army conducts recruitment at several levels and ranks
like soldier, lieutenant , captain etc.
The educational qualifications tend to vary right now you can only apply for soldier
ranks with you 10th standard qualification.
Furthe One can join NDA after 12th or CDS after engineering.. but you need maths and physics in plus 2.... so if you really want to join Army you can go for soldier rank... or you can redo your +2 with physics+maths.

If you want to be an army officer then you need to complete 12th std. that is the minimum qualification required.
So first complete your 12th......

as you are a commerce student you can get into army only through the graduate entry

the exam is known as cds examination

the age limit is

For IMA 19-24
Naval academy 19-22
Air force academy 19-23
OTA 19-25

there should be atleast a degree for you from a recognized university

the exam scheme is as follows

English – 2 hours-100 marks

General knowledge – 2 hours – 100 marks

Elementary mathematics – 2 hours – 100 marks

Criteria : 1. For 12th Passed student- age must be upto 19 years...
Technical Entry - Age must be upto 19 years.. PCM aggrt. percentage will be 75%.

2. For Graduate - Age not exceed above 25 years..Graduate with 55% marks and for B.Tech student 60% marks..

The following Entries Which you are eligible are given below :

1. University Entry Scheme(UES) - If you r in the final year of your graduation then you can apply from the fresherworld.com. Direct SSB interview.

2. CDS Entry - Form available from the UPSC website in June/ Dec. Written Followed by SSB..

3. Short Service Commission(SSB) - Form available from the fresherworld.com ..Direct SSB interview.

Yes you are eligible for Indian Army. Since you have done B.Sc with Computer science you are eligible to sit for CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam.
Eligibility-
you should have maths physics and chemistry in your 12th std.
You should not have any pending Backlog.
You should be citizen of INDIA.
You can also apply if you are in final year by University Entry Scheme.
