Hello friend,
Since you are from commerce background you can not join indian navy through NDA. Hence you first have to complete graduation. You will then have to clear r Combined Defence Service Exam, SSB interview and Medical to join the navy.
After completing 12th you can join indian navy as a sailor through Senior Secondary Recruitment.

Sorry, you can not join merchant navy after passing 12th with commerce background because Direct entry to Merchant Navy is only possible for students who have completed their 12th with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics).

But don't loose heart you can join merchant navy on the basis of your 10th qualification.
Career in Merchant Navy can be pursued as a rating in mainly two specialized fields, i.e. Marine Engineering and Nautical (deck).

The following rating courses are available for you;
4 month Pre-Sea Course for General Purpose (GP) rating.
3 month Pre-Sea Course for Deck rating.
3 month Pre-Sea Course for Engine rating.
4 month Pre-Sea Course for Saloon rating.

You can join Indian Navy after completing class 12th with commerce as a
PBOR ( personnel below officers ranks) in "non technical" trades.

Vacancies of Indian Navy are published in Employment news papers.

Friend,

Candidates who have passed 12th standard with commerce can join Army through NDA. They are not eligible for Navy entry in NDA.
However,
You can join indian navy after doing graduation through:-
1.CDSE(Combined Defence Services Exam) conducted by UPSC twice a year. You should be between 19 to 22 yrs of age for navy entry.
2. UES(University Entry Scheme) for final year college students.
3. Short Service Commission

Well, you can not join indian navy just after 10+2 because female candidates are not eligible to join NDA.

However. After doing graduation you can join Indian Navy as Short Service Commission Officer in Logistics, Pilot, Observer and Air Traffic Control

Yes Friend,

12th appearing students science students can join indian navy through NDA(National Defence Academy) examination conducted by UPSC every year.
However the last date of submission of application form is already over so you can only apply for NDA 2012.
Age limit- 16.5 yrs to 19 yrs.

After getting your result you can join indian navy through TES(Technical Entry Scheme) if you get minimum 70% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

friend,

you can not join indian navy directly after class 12th with commerce stream. But you can go for indian army with this qualification through NDA exam conducted by UPSC.

If you are only interested in indian navy then you have to complete your B.Com. first and then apply for logistics cadre through PC(LOG) Entry, when the notification comes out in the month of july and january every year.

for PC(LOG) entry age limit is 19.5 to 25 yrs.

since you are form commerce background you will not be eligible to join flying cadre. However you can apply for ground duty jobs after completing your B.Com.
Here are the options available for you after B.Com.

1. Administration Branch

Age limit- 19 to 23 yrs
Educational Qualification- Graduate in any discipline with minimum 60% marks in all papers put together.

2.Accounts branch

Age limit- 19 to 23 yrs
Educational qualification- B.Com. with min 605 marks

3. logistics branch

Age limit- 19 to 23 yrs
educatinal qualification- graduate in any discipline with minimum 605 marks

Since you are from a commerce background its very tough for you to enter into the Indian navy. To enter into Indian Navy you must have selected science as your stream in 12th std.

With Commerce background you have only two entries for entering into the Indian Navy.

To join in Indian Navy you must have taken science as your stream in 11th and 12th std. Because there are more entries for students who studied Physics, Chemistry and Maths. And with commerce background you have only one way to join in Indian Navy i.e. is to do law and become a law cadre.
And there are two types of entries for that.

Then you can appl for the following......

1. PC Logistics
Educational Qualification - B.Com or BBA
Age Limit- 19 to 25 yrs
Gender - Male Only
Permanent commission

2. SSC Logistics
Educational Qualification - B.Com or BBA

It is not possible to join Indian Navy through NDA as you are from Commerce stream. But you can join Indian Navy after completion of Graduation Degree from Commerce stream like:-

Yes you are eligible for join Indian Navy.
There is a CDS exam held by UPSC every year.
Here is CDS exam eligibility-
Firstly talking about Age-
Age for general candidates-21 to 30
SC/ST-21 to 35
And For OBC candidates-21 to 33
Now talking about Qualification-
Every candidate who have Graduation degree is eligible to appear in the CDS exam..
MALE and FEMALE both candidates are eligible to appear in the CDS exam.
CDS exam is quite tough exam comparison to other exams held by UPSC.

Hey friend,

You cannot simply join in Indian Navy with having completed +2.It is not with the education qualification which you have as you are eligible as per completing +2 but you should have completed it with Physics and Mathematics in order to be eligible

But as you have completed it with Commerce as background,you are ineligible for applying for the exam as per the education standards

If you have compelted +2 with the above subjects which i have mentioned then you could write the entrance exam which is the NDA Exam

This exam offers you to join in Indian Defence services and this exam is known as the Defence service exam and this exam is being conducted by UPSC and is held every year twice as NDA I and NDA II

You should also satisfy the other criteira's with it in order for applying for the exam

But as far as now you are ineligible for applying for the NDA Exam and so it is better that you continue your studies and then apply for other entrance exams which are conducted in India in order to join in Indian Navy

I am sorry to say that after passing 12th with commerce stream you are not eligible for Indian Navy exam.

For Indian Navy you have to pass 12th with Physics, Maths.

If you want you can join Indian Army.

For Joining Indian Army you have to qualify the National Defence Academy Exam.

N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

Age limit for N.D.A exam is 16.5-19 year.

If you want you can apply in 2103.

No, being Commerce stream candidate your not Eligible for Indian Navy Academy . Only Science stream candidate with Physics and Mathematics candidate are eligible to apply for Navy Academy .

So, your not Applicable for Indian Navy Academy . After Completing 12th in Commerce stream you may eligible to apply for Army Academy.

If your Interested in Army Academy than you may apply for NDA Examination which is Conducted by Union Public Service Commission.

To apply for NDA Examination than you should Complete 12th Standard from recognized University .

To Join in Navy Academy than you should studied Physics and Mathematics subject in 12th standard .
