i have missed to get the gate application form... is the last date over? where to collect the form from?

dear friend,
I am sorry to say that the dates are over
the last date of online registration was Oct 27th and tha last date for receiving the application form at regional offices was Nov 2 .Sorry friend,and we can hope better luck next time

Commencement of online application/sale of information brochure and application form: Tuesday, 21st September, 2010
Last date for issue of information brochure and application form: at bank counters, Wednesday, 27th October, 2010; at GATE office counters, Friday, 29th October, 2010
Last date for submission online (website closure): Wednesday, 27th October, 2010
Receipt of completed online/offline application form at respective zonal GATE office: Tuesday, 02nd November, 2010
Examination online: Sunday, 30th January, 2011
Offline examination: Sunday, 13th February, 2011

GATE

GATE is an examination conducted by the association of 7 IITs and the IISc, bangalore.

They conduct it for the selection of students for their post graduation level.

Based on your score, the institutes that you can get admitted into are:-

1. IITs

2. IISc

3. NITs

4. Other premier colleges including government colleges.



ELGIBILITY CRITERIA

1. B.Tech pass-out or 4th year.

2. Masters in any branch of science, Maths, Statistics, computer applications.

3. Post Diploma/ Post B.Sc


APPLYING:-

The gate exam is applied online, by which you can get a challan and a form.
you have to pay the required fees and send it along the printed form.


they have postponed the last date of sending the application due to high rush of candidates.
the last date of receiving application forms is 28 October 2011.

If you are pursuing your b.tech Part time ,,

then you are ELIGIBLE for GATE exam,,

However,,pre final year students are not eligible for gate.

ELIGIBILITY FOR GATE EXAM

>>Bachelor degree holder in engineering/technology/architecture and whose who are in final year.

>>master's degree holder in any branch of science/mathematics/statics/computer application whose who are in final year.

>>Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master's degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology.

>>Candidates in the fourth or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master's degree programme or Dual Degree programme in Engineering/Technology.

>>Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by Institute of Engineers (India); AMICE by Institute of Civil Engineers (India)) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.

Yes, ofcourse you are eligible for GATE even if you did B.Tech through Part time...
But your university must be a recognized Indian university...

GATE DETAILS::
GATE-Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is the entrance exam which is conducted by IIT'S every year to take admissions into top colleges if you get a good rank.
->GATE is conducted by IIT's every year in the month of February(Generally 2nd sunday of Feb).
## This time GATE 2012 is conducting on 12th Feb'2012(Sunday)..
->Application forms are going to be available from 12th sept'2011.
->You have to apply only through ONLINE.
->The application fee is Rs. 1000/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PD candidates.
->Gate will be conducted in two types:
-OFFLINE
-ONLINE
->GATE papers are fully objective type.
->It consists of 65 questions with negative marking and you will be having 3hrs.duration.

Eligibility for GATE::::

Dear Friend,

Yes the date of the GATE examination is over.You can not get the form from any where now. You will have to wait for next year.The form will be issued again in the month of September or October in the next year.

Dear pal,
GATE exam is held every year and it is conducted by the Indian Institute of technology. The last date for applying for the exam got over few months back itself so you will not be appear for the oncoming year exam.
From the current year only final year aspirant are eligible to appear for the exam. The aspirant can apply only online. You can register in the website www.gate.iitb.ac.in
the cost of application is 1000 for general and obc aspirant. For sc and st aspirants the cost of application is 500 for sc and st aspirants.
Do not worry as there is no age limit for the exam you can apply for the exam next year . The gate score is valid for a duration of two years.
