IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services .IAS exam is conducted by UPSC every year .This Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission.

If you have completed Graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.There is no marks criteria.Final year student are applicable for IPS Exam.

Age Criteria:

For General: 21 to 30 years
For OBC: 21 to 33 years
For SC/ST: 21 to 35 years

No. of Attempts:

For General: 3
For OBC: 7
For SC/ST: No Restriction

IPS exam is consist of 3 process - Preliminary Exam . Mains Exam and Personal Interview .If you have completed 1st round then you are eligible for next round.

There is no specific Exam as IAS exam, To become an IAS(Indian Administrative Service) officer one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having appear for Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream form a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

The last date for submission of application form for Civil Service Exam is 04/03/2013 followed by Preliminary Exam on 19/05/2013.

Eligibility For IAS Exam

A candidate needs to clear the Civil Services Exam which is conducted by UPSC exam..

A candidate is eligible to appear for the UPSC Civil Services Exam if :-

>> candidate is within the age limit of 21-30 years if belonging to general category, 3 years and 5 years of age relaxation for OBC and SC/ST respectively..

>> Candidate must have completed graduation from a recognized institute in any stream..

>> general candidates have a maximum of 4 attempts for appearing for the Civil Services Exam..

>> OBC candidates have 7 attempts whereas there is no limit for SC/ST candidates..

The forms for the Civil Services Exam shall be available from 2nd February,2013 to 4th March,2013

The Prelims is going to be conducted on 19th May,2013 and will test you on aptitude as well as general awareness..

Mains will be held on 8th November,2013 and will test you on 9 subjective papers based on your graduation knowledge..

Dear ASpirant,

A Graduate Degree Holder candidate can apply for IAS Examination or pursuing Final Year of Graduation also are applicable......

Age Should be between 21 to 30 years, Relaxation is available for OBC + 3 years on Upper age and for SC/ST +5 years.....

A general Category student can apply maximum 4 Attempt, OBC Student can Max. 7 Attempt and there is no any attempt limit for SC/ST Students......

UPSC has still not announced its notifications for the UPSC Civil services Exams 2013.

Earlier it was supposed to announce the Notification on 2nd February 2013, but they will now release the notification on a later date.

Eligibilty to apply for the UPSC Civil services EXAMS IS:

Graduation Pass in any stream
Final year Graduation student can also apply

Age of the Candidates should be between 21 and 30 years
OBC can apply till 33 years
SC/ST can apply till 35 years

UPSC has also put a cap on number of attempts that is allwed.
General candidates can apply for 4 times
OBC candidates can apply for 7 times

Notification would be released any time in the month of February
UPSC Prelims exams would be held on 19th May 2013
