Age Criteria For UPSC Examination.

UPSC conducts many examination every year like IAS, IES, IPS...and many other. If you want to know about the age criteria for the UPSC examination then here i give you the details information.

Age Limit for UPSC Examination :- The age must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of appearing of this examination. The age relaxation is also applicable for the candidates belong to reservation category.

Age Relaxation for the Reservation category candidates.

For SC/ST Category candidates :- 5 years on upper age limit.
For OBC Category candidates :- 3 years on upper age limit.
For Ex-service man :- 5 years on upper age limit.

The age criteria to appear in these exams is as follows-

Eligibility for upsc exams:- 1)educational qualification is graduation in any stream. 2)age limit is 21 to 30years. For sc/st candidates 5years relaxation and for bc candidates 3years relaxation. All the best

As these civil services exams are conducted by UPSC.
The age limit criteria is
as generally the age should be in between 21to 30 years. For the candidates belonging from reservation catagory the age relexation is also applicable-

the elegibility criteria of both the examination are almost similar but there is an basic defference between them:
IAS :you should be an graduate in any subject from an recognized college in the country and your age should be above 21 years and below 30 years to be eligible for the examination ,there is an age relaxation for students from the sc/st category in the upper age limit .
IES:you should be an graduate engineer from any recognised institute in the country and also your minimum gae should be 21 years and the upper age should be less than 30 years for an general category students with relaxation for the reservation students ,

There is no difference in age limits.Both exams consist of same age limits.One thing is education qualification differ from this examination.For I.A.S you should have a graduate degree in any desire subject and For I.E.S,you should have a engineering from any recognized university.

I.A.S i.e Indian Administrative Service

Age limits :-

You should have a 21 years to 30 years of age at time of appearing
Upper age limits is applicable SC/ST/OBC and other categories.
For OBC category : 21 years to 33 years.(3 years relaxation)
For SC/ST category : 21 years to 35 years.(5 years relaxation)
For Ex-servicemen : 21 years to 35 years.(5 years relaxation)

These examinations (IAS,IPS,IES,IFS,IRS) are conducted by UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION [UPSC].

for appear in all theses exams you must have graduation degree from a recognized college.'
For civil service examinations like IAS[INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE], IPS[INDIAN POLICE SERVICE],IFS[INDIAN FOREIGN SERVICE] etc,.you just need the graduation degree in any stream from a recognized college,.
but for the IES [INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICE], you must have engineering degree in any of these streams that I have mention here-
1.CIVIL ENGINEERING
2.MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
3.ELECTRICAL & COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING
4.ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING.

The age limit for this examinations is 21-30 years,.
there are 5 & 3 years of age relaxations are applicable for the SC\ST & OBC candidates respectively.
i.e. 21-33 years for the OBC candidates,
21-35 years for the SC\ST candidates.

No . of attempts-
four for the GENERAL candidates,
seven for the OBC[non-creamy layer]
no such restriction for the SC\ST candidates.

Age limit for state govt employe for ias exam

There are lot of civil service examinations , which are conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC) every year.
Some of them are -
IAS (INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE)
IPS (INDIAN POLICE SERVICE)
IES (INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICE)
IFS (INDIAN FOREIGN SERVICE )etc etc....

All of them have minimum educational qualification required is a graduation degree in any stream except IES.
Although IES is engineering exam, so, one must have B.TECH\B.E. degree in courses like CIVIL,MECH.,ELECTRONICS ,ECE.

i.e.

4 for the general candidates,
