Is Merchant Navy (Deck Cadet) A Good Job Regarding Safety, Money, Status And Job Security.

Merchant navy is a best job if you just wants to earn a handsome package it can be in lacks per month the plus points to this is you can study simultaneously and can be the captain of the ship and that is quite good for your reputation purposes the only drawback is you can not live with your family or have to live without for few months but if you are a captain of the ship then you will become a cropati in a year.

Yeah ofcourse Merchant(deck cadet ) is really a good option and they really pay high. If you want to get promoted you need to answer few exams which will give you more money and job security. Rest everythin about this job is great

Proper navigation of the ship is the sole duty of the deck cadet. So there nothing called NO Scope in this field...So go for it

It totally depends upon you that how you see the ground living in the world of sea. Dack Cadet is good post in terms of income, only after qualifying a pre sea training will make you eligible you for the post of Dack Cadet. You will get a good amount of 20K-30K depending upon the company. After getting some experience it will be increased and you can be promoted after some years.

In first look it looks so simple like having dream on a bed of roses, GOOD salaries+ Better accomodation+ Low requirement of education etc... But after some times you will realize that you can not start your married life happily, you will be appointed in sea for a continuous period of 4-6 months and after that they give you leave of only 2-3 months. Sometimes you can be suffered from sea-sicknees.
Big thing to think. If you think that you can overcome these ,then this job is made for you. Go forward.

It is clear that merchant navy is a fitness based job. What will be the future of merchant navy candidiate (deck cadet, GME etc.) if he is not fit & can't join merchant navy again & what remuneration he will get(if applicable)?
