My name is manik ! And I am very very confused in what field can i choose! ? Well I have interest in software engineering plus I sometimes think I should go for merchant navy!plz help me to choose right course.

Actually software engineering and marchant navy both are good courses for earning point of view.But if you want to earn more to the greatest hike then choose marchant navy and otherwise you can choose software engineering.

If you have done your 12th with physics, chemistry, mathematics subjects. Than you can go for B.Tech Computer Science course for Software Engineering and if you have interest of Merchant Navy than go for the Merchant Navy course. But if you have done your 12th with another subjects than you can go for the B.Com Course, but in this situation you can not go for the merchant navy course. But you can apply for the Indian Navy after completion of your graduation. Merchant Navy and Indian Navy are different things but you can go for Indian Navy which is such a reputed job. But if you are not interested in Indian Navy than you can go for merchant navy course. To get an admission of top colleges you can also appear for the Merchant Navy exam.

I m in 12 th std and have interest in Technology mostly in computer OS and mobile Os but merchant navy is also not bad so what should I do?

Listen to your mind and heart. This questions of yours can only be answered by you. Luckily there is a way to get you zipped answer.
Think of 3 things for two weeks:
1). everyday ask yourself if you are ready to do ________ for your whole life.
2). does programming makes you will light or being a navy man.
3). ask your heart and mind if you are ready to do that for the rest of your life.


You will get the right choice if you practice this.

Hey Manik,
Both the fields are high paying but if you are adventurous choose marchant navy other for a peaceful career choose software developer. You can join any marine academy before joining merchant navy. If you going for CSE than select college having good industry collaborations as that also will helps you to get into navy. You can consider Lovely Professional University, SRM, VIT etc.

Can I complete b.tech from any good NIT than what post can I get in merchant navy
